What are you all talking about? Even if he doesn't sound like 1998 Snake, he still sound way better than Kiefer Sutherland.
Kiefer was playing a role, it was just a job for him. David is not playing any roles, he is Solid Snake.
Kiefer is a well known and respected actor. The dude has range, he is just not Snake.
I bet Kiefer never played a MGS game. David did play all of them he starred in. That shows how much he care about the character he helped to create and millions of gamers around the world love playing him and pays so much respect to it's voice actor. That doesn't comes naturally, you have to earn it.
