Excited to learn more about what this series is all about. Going to buy regardless because I've just been buying any 3DS game I'm even slightly want lately.

Trailer of the 3ds game

This soccer game makes Shaolin Soccer look positively plausible by comparison. Stuff looks insane and fun. Energy fist goalie blocks, cyclone ball shots, minigames, stylus powered up passes...looks awesome! Like Mario Strikers did a line of cocaine and watched a DBZ marathon before booting up!

Oh yeah, lol for not remembering Phoenix Wright doing the same thing. I really like what they did for PW, because as you said, the majority of names are puns that would have been lost if the names where not translated, and it seems the majority of people also liked that translation.
Now that I think, Ive never seen anyone criticising it, and using the japanese names when talking about the games because thats the "real" thing for them.
Well, I recall hearing "Naruhobo" passed around a lot, but that's just because it blends so well. But yeah, I'd say Pokemon gets the same kind of pass. If the names are puns it's usually okay.

They should release it in June when the World Cup starts. Pretty much the only time the US pays attention to soccer.

I looked into importing 3 and they released it solo for 3ds in Europe so it's probably 1 by its self.

Any idea what particular title this is? I know Europe got the third game and that was on 3DS. Or are they pushing the 3DS-exclusive games?

Not anywhere

No information on that yet.

Best case: the 3DS compilation of Inazuma Eleven 1/2/3 (that's 6 games).
Worst case: only the first game on 3DS.

Considering Nintendo...

I really hope it's the 3rd game or the compilation. I already played the first 2 on DS.

999 and VLR aren't huge in Japan but have a decent niche here. Wouldn't be surprised to see an eShop release at some point, but that might depend how happy Level 5 have been with the sales of the Guild games.
On the other hand 999 wasn't VA'd, VLR was but 999 proved it had a potential audience outside of Japan, and honestly it sounds like Time Traveler wasn't really all that great.

Two years ago that'd have been a serious disappointment to be told it wouldn't come, but now? It came out, had a lukewarm reception, and now we have tons of other great games coming along on 3DS, which is where I'd have probably gotten it anyway. More importantly, we have Dangan Ronpa and Stein;s Gate coming here, two well received games of a similar type. I can deal with it being passed over in favor of other stuff now.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is an eShop exclusive release of the first game from the 3DS port collection. If that's the case, I doubt Nintendo is even involved.

So did Ni No Kuni(ps3)
[3DS] Time Travelers - 22.143
[PSV] Time Travelers - 18.957
[PSP] Time Travelers - 7547
Total: 48.647

[PS3] Ni no Kuni: The Queen of White Sacred Ash - 150.715
[PS3] Ni no Kuni: The Queen of White Sacred Ashen Complete Edition - 17.328
Total: 168.043

I also imagine that a visual novel would have a harder time selling in the west than a big console JRPG with Studio Ghibli involvement.

And skip out on all the (potential) money from selling every single game?
Might be considered more viable to go for the latest and hottest then sell the older games for those that care once it's established. FF and DQ sorta did the same thing really, though I guess there's more serious continuity to worry about for Inazuma Eleven.

I think we're all getting ahead of ourselves here. I don't think any of us here actually believe that NA would get IEGo prior to or at least around the same time as Europe do we? The Ogre isn't even out yet.

Depending on how this is handled we could be caught up by the time they are ready to translate the first Go game.

Cool, this thread wasn't a weird fever dream. I really can't believe we might be getting Inazuma at this point, the fact that enough time has passed that we can ONCE AGAIN discuss how nice the promotional synergy would be to get one out during the World Cup makes me laugh. I am really rooting that this is some version of 3, I imported and really enjoyed the first one, but now that the series has gone off the deep end I'm only interested in experiencing hopefully crazy ethnic stereotypes with Tsubasa/Shaolin superpowers. Cmon Nintendo, make me happy.

Would be great for this to be the 1-2-3 compilation, then it hits Europe later in the year as their means of getting The Ogre. Just hope it's not 1 split from the compilation, because this handheld gen is gonna be over by the time they even get to Go. Then what, gotta port all those to the 4DS? Ugh

The Ogre is confirmed for Europe next month.

Fantasy Life did well, right? And Animal Crossing is doing well too I believe. Seems like common sense to get Fantasy Life out here.

Yeah, it's definitely going to be the 3DS version of Inazuma Eleven 1, I really doubt they'll go with the full trilogy from the get go (especially if they can "milk" it, and see if this one sells to begin with).

According to ONM, it's a Feb 2014 release. Calciobit a.k.a. Nintendo Pocket Football Club
is set for Spring 2014.

February is when IE3: The Ogre gets released for Europe. So either you made a mistake or you're inferring that NA is also getting The Ogre, which would honestly be a dumb decision on their end.

You really believe NA would get IEGo before Europe?

I'm saying we could get the trilogy or the third game, and then the Go games.

Nah, you're gonna Inazuma 1, then 2, then 3, and THEN Inazuma Eleven GO :p
I'm pretty sure this is going to come with the anime (that's how it's working in both JP and EU), . And besides, if it really were trh Trilogy, it'd simply be called "Inazuma Eleven Trilogy" or something. Nintendo didn't call the Metroid Prime Trilogy simply "Metroid Prime".

But then again, until the game's officially announced, we can only speculate. Keeping my cage of crows handy, just in case! :p

you're probably right, I just can't believe they took that long, I don't even want to play the first games anymore.
