I posted about it in the Steam thread, but people should really give OneShot a chance. Apparently it was originally a free RPGmaker game in 2014 but this update was well worth the 9 dollars I spent on it. It released on the 8th and is 10% off for the first week.
The connection between you and the main character feels pretty amazing and by the end of it I really cared for the little guy. The world that was built and interesting and builds a wonderful atmosphere, the music and graphics also complement it really well. The way that the game interacts with you and your computer also felt pretty refreshing and great.
Definitely in my top 10 this year and more people should know about this game.
