IndieGames 2015 Staff Picks - A little something for everyone

http://indiegames.com/2015/12/2015_staff_picks_genre.html

IndieGames.com has been around for years and has ties to Gamasutra, IGF, and GDC, so they tend to be one of the best resources for indies.
There have been many great and wonderful games in 2015. Too many for any one person to play, which has made compiling end of year IndieGames staff pick lists interesting. We've found that very few of our personal top picks overlap. Rather than trying to rank everything, we'd like to start with making some recommendations by genre... and also a few recommendations that break genre boundaries

Kerbal Space Program, the Bloodborne of Indie. Getting overlooked left and right, outclassing half of the list.

I can't believe how many great / interesting indie games I've missed this year. Weird. Now, how do I play 20 games until XCOM 2, Firewatch, and The Witness come out in a month or so...

Just wait till January/February. The IndieGAF regulars are putting together a 50 Best Indies of 2015 thread

As for what's coming in 2016:

It's crazy to me how little attention Crypt of the Necrodancer is getting. That game is amazing! Do people identify it with 2014? It just blows my mind that anyone would list the best indie games of 2015 with dozens and dozens of games... and that's not one of them.

Really love half of that list. It's quite a strong year for indie gaming.

My personal pick would be Axiom Verge. It might not be perfect but it's an amazing Metroidvania experience.

Too many good games, didn't get around to it, but it looked cute and hard which should be my ballpark.

Good choices. Expected Darkest Dungeon to be included or was it on there last year? Caves of Qud looks like a promising Early Access.
