instant interview? the hell?

Ok I just filled out an application online for sears (retail) in my area and right after I was done I scheduled an interview...Is this new or something? I have never heard of being offered an interview online right after the app. Keep in mind it also had the opinion based multiple choice bullshit like every other online application has and maybe I answered them right or something idk..this shit is new to me. Just seems too janky, I called and they said come at the scheduled date..so hopefully all goes well..anybody else filled out an application and was able to instantly schedule an interview before a call or anything?

When I was mass applying for jobs a year or so ago, a few of them did automatically schedule me for an interview. It gave me a few dates and times to pick from.

Most don't do this, but some do. I never showed up to mine, though, so I don't know how it goes when you're there
