Hyped "Unveil video"

A new report from a leading gaming industry expert suggests that Sony's new console will be here in time for Christmas 2019.

Earlier this year, Sony teased that the PS4's sequel could be three years away.
But top analyst Hideki Yasuda believes that it's much closer than anyone imagined.
In a report for his firm Ace Economic Research Institute, Yasuda said he thinks "the introduction of the PS5 will be at the end of 2019".
If that's the case, Sony would almost certainly release the console before Christmas – for maximum sales opportunity.
What's more, Yasuda promises that the PS5 will be a "high-performance machine" that boasts "high-end computer graphics".
It's already rumoured that the PS5 will feature game-streaming tech, letting you stream video games over the internet like a TV show or movie.

This could be a major blow to Microsoft, which is already working on an Xbox Twoconsole – expected to launch much later.
If Sony can get its new PlayStation out before then, it could seriously hurt Xbox sales.
Confusingly, Sony itself seemed to be projecting a much later release.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal earlier this year, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Tsuyoshi Kodera suggested we're likely to see a 2021 release.
"We will use the next three years to prepare the next step, to crouch down so that we can jump higher in the future," the Sony chief explained.
To add even more confusion to the next-gen console rumour mill, we've also heard the PS5 being mooted for a 2020 release.
Analyst Michael Pachter recently told Gamingbolt that both the next Xbox and PlayStation are scheduled for 2020 launches.
So what can we expect from the PS5?
The most likely answer is some kind of video game-streaming tech – playing games over Wi-Fi (like a Netflix movie) rather than from a disc.
Microsoft is expected to make similar moves with the new Xbox.
And Sony's Kodera teased cloud-based gaming for the PS5 earlier this year: "We need to depart from the traditional way of looking at the console life cycle.
"We’re no longer in a time when you can think just about the console or just about the network like they’re two different things."

According to the "unveil video":

1. PS5 is 8k ready.
2. PS5 is Eco friendly
3. PS5 has real-time audio and text translation
4. PS5 allows you to see messages on your controller, which is less convenient then looking at the screen.
5. Stress censor? "The controller detects the level of stress, the more stress you have the more increase in difficulty"??
6. Finger print scanner
7. Wire-free charging
8. "Zero electricity consumption when browsing the menus"
9. Integrated battery back-up?
10. Games will have real-time dynamic weather with a collaboration with the weather channel. (what?)
11. Ryzen2x

The link has the same video on their website as well, it's been spreading around.

Of course it's complete nonsense and obviously fake, but that's the best effort to convince someones that's a real video I've seen in gaming in a long time. At least for the next Xbox and the PS5.

Lol 8k ready, audio translation, zero electricity consumption. They could have fooled more people if they added realistic specs and features.

literally hate everything about that controller. That video is what. GTA V? Nah man...you not fooling nobody. They don't mention no Tflops. Nothing about the processor, nothing about anything gamers actually give a fuck about?

FAKE!

I cry about SonyGaf from my chair in Redmond, WA
Just by seeing the thumbnail it's clearly to see that it's fake. The controller will look like any of the other dual shock controllers in layout v

Azelover

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
Wow. Interesting.

Of course it's fake, but I like the innovations. Much better than just increasing the horsepower.

Air HDMI. Right next to the air powerbrick. Also air controllers and an air console. Buy the air premium package and you'll get some air headphones too.

It aint official unless its on the official PS youtube chanel. Also...ECO friendly? lol yeah that is exactly what console manufacturers first think off.

Stress sensor, that, if you're stressed out, increases the difficulty even more? LOL

#KillThePlayers?

Hate the controller design. Love the console design.

Either way, fake.

mockup controller looks awesome, brings back vibes of Dreamcast, and having it integrate with your friends is super cool.

Everything about the controller is so wrong. Imagine trying to hit that center button under the screen between the sticks. The sticks are placed so low they would be super uncomfortable, and the slightly offset design makes little sense. The bumpers have a massive ridge at the outer edge which would make rolling onto them from the triggers uncomfortable too.
