Haha. Mine says delivery by 3pm, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up of receiving it before 2:55.
Got mine about an hour ago. Since i'm at work I had to update my ancient iTunes version to take a good backup. Took forever to update iTunes. Then the backup of my phone which is like 80GB's. Then I had to update the new iPhone with iOS 11.1 since that's the version my old phone was one. Now i'm restoring finally.
I went with the Apple Leather Case for my 6s+, and am doing so again for the X. Microfiber inside is nice, and I even dropped the 6s+ a few times and the case protected it, so that's my suggestion.

Has anyone decided to go in on wireless charging? Im curious about using it, but I heard the charging rate isnt quick and the phone tends to get hot. Im willing to test it out with my friends Qi charger.
Also, Im on the bubble for trying to get a quick charge set up. With that situation Ill need a new cable and outlet charger.
Just wondering if anyone has chosen these options and what are yall using.

ordered a 15$ qi from amazon with no prior knowledge or experience....just saw it was the most reviewed and on the cheaper side.
correct me if im wrong but i dont think any wireless charging solution will be as fast as a hard wired one? so i just bought a cheapish pad to rest my phone on at work

That's correct. The iPhone X atm only supports 5w Qi chargers. So it's pretty slow and the phone will be warm when you pick it back up.
I have a JBL Powerup from like 2012 that works perfectly with the iPhone X.
Now on to other topics. Everyone wants to talk about the great things what are you owners finding irritating?
- No battery percentage
- Can't see if you're connected to LTE or 4G if you are also connected to wifi quickly.
- In the multitasking having to hold the app until the "-" pops up and then you can swipe up. Should be able to still just swipe up no matter what.

From looking at all the pictures and videos in past 2 months, Im pretty sure you are correct. 😏
Picked up the phone this morning but ran into the issue where my old iPhone was a version ahead of the new iPhone X. While attempting to upgrade the iPhone X so I could restore from backup, it stopped working gave an error. I tried many ways to force the phone out of restoring mode and Apple couldnt help me over the phone.
They set up an appointment for me on Sunday...I was a little bummed to have a new phone that I cant use for the next two days. But then I decided to try restoring with the Apple charging cable instead of one I bought from Amazon...and it worked!

So my iPhone X was delivered to my house today while I was at work. My wife signed for it and sent me a pic of the shipping box. I was excited. Then she sends me a pic of the actual iPhone box, taken out of it's shipping box. I wanted to do the unboxing and I told her that. But I let it go. Then she texts me a pic of the phone out of it's box and she is taking the plastic seal off, taunting me saying how satisfying it is. That's when I got pissed. My current phone is a 5s and I haven't had an iPhone unboxing in 4 years. She doesn't understand why I am so pissed off about this, but it's one of those small pleasures that she just robbed me of. Maybe someone here can tell me I'm wrong, but I am incredibly irritated at her about this and I feel justified in feeling this way.
You're going to remember the phone not the box. It's nothing (in my mind) to get upset about.
I get that it's frustrating considering that you SPECIFICALLY TOLD HER NOT TO FUCKING OPEN THE THING GOD JUST THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME ANGRY. That said, you've shown that you're upset, and hopefully she'll make up for it at another time. Now it's time to let it go.
You have to tap and hold the app until you see a red - in the left corner of apps then you can swipe up and remove them.
Once you swipe up and in card view mode press and hold on a card, should come up with option to delete them. (Once the have the little x at the corner you can either press to delete or swipe up) Its weird
This post really cracked me up hahahaha. But yeah I ompletely agree, very frustrating but it's no biggee. Phone is the important part.

Picked my iPhone X 256GB Space Gray up yesterday. I'm already used to the swipe motions and don't miss the home button in the slightest.
I am, however, torn on FaceID. When it works it's amazing but it has so many scenarios where it just doesn't work as good as TouchID:
- In bed, phone next to me, I can no longer glance at incoming notifications (I hide previews ever since iOS11 came out and used TouchID to reveal them) without holding the phone up to my face
- It doesn't work reliably from certain angles (I read that you can recalibrate FaceID with the 2nd scan being a weird angle to fix this)
- You can't use FaceID while in landscape mode (the screen has to align with your face) or I somehow can't manage to do it
Animoji are interesting but I fail to figure out how to hold the phone to record them properly. They are always slightly stuttery here like the phone is fighting for focus on my face.
I also have a scary distortion effect at the top borders (above the status bar symbols) sometimes: tiny black horizontal lines like my screen being distorted that vanish really quick. Barely noticeable but still there sometimes (and no idea how to trigger it consistently, shows up at random angles and times). Is this the anti-burn-in protection at work?

Just open all her Present before she wakes on Christmas morning and film it. Im sure it wont escalate things

She was probably getting nailed by her boyfriend while she was unboxing it. While she was unwrapping your iPhone he was unwrapping her.

If the story is for real, yeah your wife is kind of awful, but youre also sort of whiny. Its a phone, not the birth of a kid. If anything the story sort of shows me how much our possessions have really become false idols (and Im an atheist for crying out loud). Enjoy your phone, ask your wife wtf?? when you asked her not to, and maybe step back and ask yourself what sort of things in life are worth causing bad feelings over and what sort of things are just...stuff..

I picked one up as my carrier store had one and I am surprised I like it so much but it's still just a phone. Face ID seems to be working well and I grabbed my usual Otterbox Symmetry case I usually go with.
