This year one of the biggest holiday games in Japan will be Momotaro which is basically Japan's Monopoly, last time Nintendo released a game in the Franchise on the 3DS in the holiday of 2016 and the game ended up with over 400K sales, so there is a decent chance they will surpass 1 million sales in Japan for 2020.
Only focusing on AA that they don't invest a ton into, but make big returns. Maybe we will see something MGS related in the future since the game has historically done very well and in Japan and Snake is in Smash Bros.
Isn't it Konami's job to make us care about what they release? After all, in theory it's our money they want, right? Although it's undeniable to say that they have stepped out massively from the AAA gaming market after Kojima left the company so maybe they actually don't care about our money, but I think just the fact that people are asking about them means that people care.
