Is Sony pulling titles from PS Plus?

Lol it really sounds like bs to me. xD

Many people on internet just lie to try to sound important or whatever... Honestly I stopped to believe everybody on internet forums, if it sounds like bs... often it means it's really bs! :p

I'm still open minded and if I see proof of that (others than people saying "oh yeah yeah me too, and the support even said to me that the Xbox is better and Halo was so cool!" :D), I'll believe it.

Two people reached out to me here, and my problem has been fixed. I was asked to not mention who, so I won't go further than that. The solution ended up being adding more plus time. Once I added an extra month of plus, all my plus content came back. So if you have this same problem, extending your subscription should fix it, and customer service is aware of it and looking at how to prevent it from occurring again. Thank you everyone for your support and help, without good people here, I may never have solved this problem.

Weird. All the other games from that month exist in my library except Mafia 2.

Edit: It says Release date for Mafia 2 is August 30th 2016!!!!!! As if it was a new game.

You can try the trick the other guy used and add more plus time to your account to fix it or just contact support and ask them.

Well my PSN Plus renewal is automatic even after I disabled that option (I don't know why tbh). So whenever my PSN Plus subscription ends it gets autorenewed for me so no time lapse. I wonder why it happened for me.

Isn't there a function that restores licences? Try that and see what happens. Or the publisher might have removed the game to add it later like they did with Dragon's Crown on Vita.

I think this option is for the console only and not for the web store. Moreover this option only works if the downloaded game doesn't start which refreshes it and not for something that doesn't exist in your library anymore: http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps4/settings/license.html
 
Now I noticed more games. Bioshock 2 was offered in January 2013 for PS3 and now when I checked it was removed and replaced by Bioshock 2 Complete Pack on June 5th 2015 which is priced now. I think there are more games like Mafia 2 and Bioshock 2 that got removed and replaced by other priced versions.

Edit: Guardians Of Middle Earth for same month too. The list is getting bigger.

Edit 2 : Wow Sleeping Dogs too next month.

Puddle PS Vita version and I remember playing that game very much on Vita. Same for Coconut Dodge.

It is also not true? Or at the very least not shown to be confirmed. From what I understand - the only time you should lose access to games granted via PS+ is when your subscription lapses.

Wrong. And if you would've read OP till end he/she said it has been fixed.

I've let my PS+ expired a couple of times and got everything back everytime I renew the sub so stop the FUD

I never said it isn't fixable in every case, only that there was one person a couple of months back who said that one of his games he played recently suddenly reverted to trial status and he couldn't get his license back, when he contacted support they told him that this can happen if your plus lapses and that they wouldn't put the game back into his account. I tried to find the thread for about 30 minutes to see if maybe he also managed to get it fixed but I just couldn't find it. None of my games disappeared as well but that doesn't mean that it can't happen.

Wow! I thought the games are kept even if you unsubscribe for a long time and when you subscribe again you find them.

In fact, I never had any time lapse for me since it autorenewed PSN Plus subscription every time it ended (even that I disabled automatic and I dunno why it did) and I still find many games with price tag even that I played them before.

They do, or at least they do for me. Have you tried assessing the content directly from the download list? Things that are relisted don't seem to be the same from the original download.

The problem is that the download list is in complete disorder just like the purchase history and there is no search function in both to find the games sought.

I had the exact same problem with Mafia 2.

I couldn't find it.

This will scan your library and find the games you have. Found Mafia 2 this way.

Much easier than going through your entire download list.

This plugin is definitely the best way to do things. Also bear in mind that any time you extend your PS+, ALL of your PS+ titles get punted to the very top of your download list as if you'd claimed them all that very day (the day you extended your PS+). So if you, say, claimed some PS+ stuff in 2010 sometime, and then bought a year of PS+ today, all of your items claimed in 2010 will show up as if you purchased them "October 15th 2016". I don't believe there's a particular order for the PS+ items themselves, though, so if you have a bunch it'll take a while; honestly just use the plugin. PS3 stuff is messy enough that I just keep some games with problematic store listings (and/or way too much DLC) permanently installed because of how much of a headache a reinstall is.

Thanks that helped a little after the download list got messed up. Now I found Coconut Dodge Revitalized (PS3/ PS Vita) in the downlaod list but in the store version doesn't exist but only Coconut Dodge (PS3/PS Vita/PSP) and itw as priced. I think when menage happens in the PS Store some game versions get messed up.

Now the rest of the games is MIA.

So you can see that it was a rare glitch that affected his whole plus access, and not the random loss of one or two things, which is what was being discussed.

The policy is that you get everything back, always. Your link doesn't speak to that.

Edit: second link is much more relevant. Those terms and conditions are questionable as hell.

That is very obviously an isolated incident where his license got borked somehow.
And some random CS agent gave some bad info to explain something they could not fix.

In that very thread someone still had access to Trine 2 after letting his PS+ lapse for a long time.
I just checked history and still have access to the same game after letting PS+ lapse a few months ago.

You said there were multiple threads about this. So far, there's really nothing.

You are adding the PS+ games each month to your cart and checking out, correct? Otherwise you will not have actually purchased these PS+ games and they will be gone from your lineup at the end of the month.

It's been known for years btw, if you let it lapse you might randomly lose some licenses.



And, but I should check better about this, i've never let it lapse and yet I lost an online pass(LBP Karting) in a renewal

And this isn't? It is the exact same problem. They both had a ps+ game which is now gone. The first example showed the whole system collapsing and the second an individual game disappearing. One got fixed the other didn't which just proves that the ps+ system isn't infallible.

I haven't had PS+ in months and my Trine 2 is also still there but that doesn't mean there aren't more people who lost their licenses for unknown reasons. Saying "it didn't happen to me so it doesn't exist" is not an argument, mate.

You're the one saying that it's true and covered by the ToS that you will lose licenses to games if not renewing PS+ regularly.

That is absolutely not true.


Does it seem like there might be some very random issues because of the one thread you linked to and this one here regarding a license disappearing? Maybe, but that's two out of thousands of cases so far.
That being said, with how terrible their PSN backend seems to be organized I don't doubt it.
I've had an issue with losing a license of a game I actually purchased.
 
They recently added a feature to the PS4 store (could be on PS3 as well and Vita, haven't checked) that allows you to just purchase an activation for a PS+ title but not download it. It will appear in your download list and stay there, but it won't automatically download. Helps if you just want to claim everything you're entitled to, but don't have the download space available at the time of purchase.

If a game is legitimately gone from your account and using one of those plugins for the Download List doesn't help you find it, they should either restore your license or comp you the price of the game so you can repurchase it (other people have had this done for them).

Sony's customer service is pretty bad, especially using the web chat, that's known. Calling them is more worth your time.
