So, going through WHO's response to this virus and especially their praise for China, it seemed to me that WHO really likes China. So I dug a little further and sure enough, its not me alone who is thinking that. WHO chief couldnt stop praising China and kept giving advise against travel ban etc- basically just the same CCP line and exactly against what we now know was the right response. WHO is also wading in waters it has very little locus standi on- asking not to call it China virus and what not.
Look at these links-

The pic says all? :p

Gotta give it to the Chinese though, they have their tentacles everywhere. And with the help of left-liberal dumbos, they really muddy everything. Things as clear as day can now be 'argued' upon.

Damn! Messed up the title a little bit. It should be 'Is WHO in bed with China'

Um yes of course 100%.

Taderos is a corrupt piece of shit who is responsible for the entire pandemic and all the deaths. He should be strung up and hung from a lamp post.

And doubly so for bowing to CCP and keeping Taiwan out of the WHO. Every single death in Taiwan is directly on the hands of the WHO. And if the WHO listened to Taiwan who say through faux China's BS things may very well have been different.

CCP we should expect this BS from them. Its our fault actually for not doing anything about it. But the WHO, we essentially trust the WORLD health to them.

No doubt this is going to be one of the biggest scandals in the history of the world. Just be weary of the media's that will try and bury the lead on this and distract you with talk about if the Chinese virus is racist.

China
Not everything that isn't specifically pro-US (especially at a time when the Us is a global laughing stock that can't lead its allies) is specifically pro-china. Maybe they're just pro good results.

The Five Eyes countries are just overreacting to the current reality of post-colonialism.
I mean what is the worser coverup, 911 or this? j/k :messenger_tears_of_joy:

But every great power must have checks and balances, the main problem as far as I can see from both sides is one of mutual trust which takes time to build.
Then again, it's also a show for the global population. "It's still real to me dammit!"

Funny aside about Taiwan, but their common name for Coronavirus is "武漢肺炎" or "Wuhan Pnuemonia." Someone forgot to tell them that name is racist!

American culture set too many strict rules to define "good" and "evil".
Just as cultural appropriation mainly applies to White people, the actual intent of the person is more important than strict rules of 'racism'.
In Asia these rules are much more relaxed and people overall are less uptight about these social constructs, but now in China they are also learning these rules of the West in order to fit into 'Western' globalization culture. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

I feel it is time to free ourselves from the chains of history, but it must be equal for everyone and not demonizing any group.

They can't be any more in bed with China than America is.

It isn't the left, it isn't the right, it is every major corporation going with the cheapest option to remain competitive while maximizing profits.

Welcome to the end state of capitalism. It's mind-boggling that slavery is an abomination when we're talking ancient history in America but it is perfectly fine when we're talking about consumer goods produced by Uighurs in China. It's disgusting.

Put your money where your mouth is if you want your complaints about China to be anything more than hot air. If it is a luxury good manufactured and/or assembled in China or with a majority of parts sourced from China don't buy it. If it is a necessity that you have no choice about then write to your representatives in Congress about the untenable position reliance upon China for necessities puts the American people in.

There won't be a better time than the aftermath of Covid-19 to do something about this.

I reiterate: the problem is not capitalism; it is the injection of communism into a prosperous capitalist system.

This will become even more obvious once the Western world decouples from China and only suffers some speedbumps while China itself ceases to be a world power.

Paper tiger nation.

The cost differentiator is no longer the price of labor wages but rather who can source the cheapest energy to run the machines. Pay attention to the Western nations that produce their own energy in excess.

China's wages have gone up by a factor of 10 or 12 since we opened the world's shipping lanes to them. They're running out of cheap labor anyway as their demographics age without enough young children to replace themselves.

Cheap chinese labor was already on its way out. Wuhan flu does accelerate the process, however.

Companies have been going to other geographies over onshoring. Automation and mass onshoring will come, but it takes time.

Well we will never find out.

There is a greater chance of investigating the test kits Biden said Trump refused then of anyone looking into the WHO-China connection at the beginning of this fiasco.

The simple fact that the WHO continues to block Taiwan is enough proof that they are in bed with the CCP.

Not sure, if relevant:
Ridiculous thing to say even at that timing. Grossly irresponsible. There was a Japanese man who returned from Wuhan on January 6th and had a fever since January 3rd, went to the hospital on January 10th and was later confirmed to have Coronavirus. He never went to any wet market.

I thought China hasn't even allowed the WHO into China to freely investigate the source of the virus?

Health officials in Taiwan say they warned the World Health Organization in December 2019 that the coronavirus could be passed via human-to-human contact, but the organization ignored its warnings, possibly due to its relationship with China, where the virus originated.

Thats the nail in the coffin. Keep in mind that Taiwan is excluded from the WHO because of the CCP.

So of course when Taiwan says we have prove of a plague like virus coming from China that will cause a pandemic, Tedros listens to his paymasters and silenes Taiwan and doesn't shar that info with the rest of the world.

When this is over its time for action.

Remember Taiwan tried to warn the WHO about human to human transmission weeks before China confirmed it. But the WHO refused because they had to cover up for China at the time.

WHO is one of the biggest responisble for this mess. And did you know they charge about 150$ a test kit ? Good business they got there a billion test kits at 150 bucks a pop how much you think their going to profit ?
