Nintendogs = 182k first week. That's... a lot better than 110k-130k.

so Nintendogs is now by far the fastest selling NDS game.. wow

I can see it reaching .5m easily..

can't wait to see HW numbers (DS@ 70k o.o maybe)

Anyone who expects less than a solid 300-350k first week sales is a nut considering there will be quite a bit more time for systems to sell and the absolute ridiculous popularity of the franchises involved. It's going to be an absolute behemoth. nintendogs' numbers are fantastic and it should have incredible legs.

Hey, I thought 3rd party games only sold well on Sony systems? What's with this doing so well on a Nintendo system. I mean it was released at the same time as Nintendogs which got a 40/40 in Famitsu, why wasn't it overshadowed?

Probably the same reason all 3 versions of Naruto on the GC sold really well.

Hmm I thought that was someone else not Ani who kept raggin on the sales potential of Nintendogs. Like more of a raging fanboy who would kill himself if otherwise. That makes it no fun at all.

Oh btw, what with Nintendogs hitting well over the earlier 135K report and managing 182K, what would you all say the chances are of the hardware sales being simlar, and actually hitting 90-100K rather than the 72K reported?

Hmm the significant ones I would say is Wild Arms 4 last month. It actually did pretty well too, considering how sucky it and the series is.

Goddamn if Pokemon Red and Green (freaking remakes of GBC pokemons) can do 100k nearly a year after they came out then I can't even fathom Pearl's and Diamond's sells. Geezus.

Hehe, he was posting the first week sales of the originals I think. John Harker was asking the last big RPG for the Cube since Baten Kaitos, I imagine.
