5.6 terabytes is like.... holy shit. I haven't even had that amount of space cumulatively in my PCs for my entire life. That is a mind-boggling amount.

I'm morbidly curious as to how he "organized" that amount of data.

I work in video, and at 1080p, its about 1gb a minute, so that is about 100 hours of potential raw footage. But if you take into consideration encoding and compressing, that can take it down to more like 50mb a minute, so its probably around 2000 hours of porn AT LEAST. Just depends on how could of a compressor they had...

Ugh, I hope nothing happens to him in prison because I want to forget about this shit bag until he gets released from prison as fat as he was before he started shoveling the worst fucking food into his mouth. His plea bargain seems structured similar to Fogle's, except the max the prosecution can recommend is 35. Easy to imagine that judge also shooting above that given what he admitted to and what they found. I think his sentencing is next month.

No he isn't, people need to stop this imaginary situation.

Times have changed, they now have whole places filled with people just like him who are listed as potential problems as they are sick of being sued and paying medical bills.
He will be alongside similar prisoners so that he is protected from any harm.
It got so bad that they were having to pay medical bills on a monthly basis for various cases, now they keep them in entirely separated prisons so it can't happen.

This thread got me started on a 20 minute detour watching Best of compilations for To Catch a Predator on YouTube. It's disturbing and voyeuristically trashy, but so satisfying to watch them get taken down. There are some sick fucks out there, some who just admit it openly like "yeah I'm into young kids." Then you see them face down getting arrested by four or five officers and it's like "fucking good."

A bit of a tangent, but where I'm from, the local police run/ran something similar to the "To Catch A Predator" program. They caught a few people, but then there was the one that got away, kind of. Somebody that I went to school with, he was a couple grades above me, in my sister's grade. He had been messaging with what he thought was a 15 year old girl. They made a hook up date and he was headed to meet up with the girl. Something tipped him off, I'm not sure if he had second thoughts or if something didn't seem right or if something was out of place, but just before he got to the rendezvous point and he turned around. Police ended up nabbing him a ways away from the meet up spot, but I don't think they had enough to charge him with anything.

A lot of people in town know about this story now. Who knows how bad that guy had it? He was mid 20's at the time, too old to be chasing young high school girls.

My gaming PC is full of hundreds of games, music, movies, and even some porn and god knows its only up to about maybe 1.5TB used space. You have to be some sick fuck to download the equivalent of 25 copies of FFXIII's worth of child porn

This entire thing is still so surreal to me, especially given how prevalent Jared was in pop-culture given he was just a spokesperson for sub sandwiches.

Also like most other people are saying, that's perhaps the stupidest defense I've ever read. I think a ton of different places are going to get mileage out of that 'eating sandwiches turned me into a pedophile' line.

Is there any evidence that he actually molested any children, or did he just watch a lot of child porn?

I'll probably get a shit ton of flak for this, but I don't think that watching or having child porn should warrant prison time, just a large fine...

Unless of course there's evidence that he was actually involved in the molestation of any children, be it doing it himself or paying others to do it...

Putting these people in jail isn't going to stop the content from being created

The accounts he's been prosecuted for is mid to late teens I believe but it definitely wasn't from a lack of trying - asking people to find him younger girls. He was involved in recording young children and swapping videos. Dude is a danger on the outside, especially if he's claiming it stems from sex addiction. That compulsion won't be dealt with by a fine. Place he is going has a program for sex offenders. Whether that works out in any way beneficial by the time he gets out is something only time can tell but it's better than him being free.

He is paying out loads of cash to several underage girls he slept with, he also confided in someone he allegedly had sex with a 9 year old.

And he was essentially paying someone to produce and find child porn for him. His entire foundation appears to be a front for a massive child porn ring.

So yeah, maybe read a little before Devils advoderping.
