Thoughts mirror these mostly, great fun but flawed. Story seems trash so far. The fun factor is so high though, it helps push past those others flaws, as glaring as they are.
Tomato gaming just posted a video showing a lot of goofing around:

apparently the npc's are immortal....(the good guys at least), and will even knock vehicles up off them...
Mad Max i such an underrated game. Can't believe it went on being ignored on gaf :/
Lol @ any reference to/criticism of the story.
I hugely value story in my games, and 30 minutes into Just Cause 2 it was clear that story is not what the games are about, and I began skipping every cutscene. Experience immediately improved, and I'm sure I'll be doing the same in Just Cause 3.

Damn, PS4 player who LOVED JC2 and was really looking forward to this.... =\ things don't sound so good...

Ya I think the big issue is that they kept talking about it(the devs) like all the time. So it made it something people discussed later.
Hah, shit. That is an error on their part.
Although, on the one hand, don't big up something your game doesn't focus on, but on the other, the game should stand for what it's good at. If you can skip the cutscenes, skip them.
Literally the first dev diary was about Rico and how they were making him more of a character and really doubling down on the storyYa I think the big issue is that they kept talking about it(the devs) like all the time. So it made it something people discussed later.
Rico is Mexican (though he grew up in Medici) That's why his accent sounds spanish, while the natives from Medici sound italian-ish.

Everything's broken and hopeless. Let's all pack it up, video games on consoles had a good run.
The frame rate is generally fine but gets pretty bad during chaos.
I'm wondering if the digital version would be quicker.
Is anyone playing this on PC? If so, where did you pick it up in the US so early? Thinking of checking out Best Buy tomorrow...
*vomits*- You can't speed up the parachute anymore to move around quickly like you can in Just Cause 2
This is always a GOOD thing.- Ambient music is REALLY nice;

Were people legitimately thinking Just Cause 3 was going to be amazing? I was under the impression the series was fun to play, but the story and characters were something nobody expected. JC3 looks like a lot of dumb chaotic fun, I just remember getting tired of the first two really quickly.
When the JC fans said they were excited for this game and thought it would be amazing, they meant amazing for the purposes that made them enjoy the previous titles so much (dumb chaotic fun). Even the biggest fans of the series recognize the story is bleh and has nothing to do with why they like the game.

It's Steamworks so nobody outside of those who got it early for review/publicity purposes will be playing it on PC until release.
MGSV was certainly disappointing in some way. Not every game can be perfect and every game has flaws. I think it just comes down to whether the rest of a specific game makes up for the flaws each person experiences.Sounds disappointing. Actually most big releases this year since MGS (or maybe Mario Maker) seem to have been disappointing in some way. Think we peaked a little early.
Just FYI, you can get PC version of Just Cause 3 for $23 on cdkeys.com using their black Friday coupon code. Im not suuuper interested in the game, but for $23, I'm ok if its just a fun diversion for a bit.
I guess that is true, I haven't played MGS but it didn't get the reviews that indicate a 'disappointing game'.MGSV was certainly disappointing in some way. I'm amazed you somehow managed to avoid the very loud discussion of MGSV's poor story.I guess that is true, I haven't played MGS but it didn't get the reviews that indicate a 'disappointing game'.
I'm pretty sure I paid less than $5 for Just Cause 2, if this is the same but prettier I can't see myself putting down anything near full price
Mad Max i such an underrated game. Can't believe it went on being ignored on gaf :/

This game performs worse than Fallout 4 on PS4. Probably the worst technical mess Ive seen. Hitching and terrible fps

JC2 was a world class "podcast game", the sort of affair where you turn the sound down and mindlessly explore/create chaos while listening to podcasts or watching TV.
Oh, really? I loved that he sounded like this guy:- Rico has a different voice actor. He sounds like a try-hard Ezio from Assassin's Creed II now. In fact, everyone sounds like an ACII voice actor reject, and not in the charming "BOOLOOO SANTOOOSI" kind of way;
