The update to 2018’s console release will include full support for a mouse and keyboard alongside “upgraded resolution, improved framerate, advanced shaders, better textures, and additional performance improvements”.

PS5 and Xbox Series X will run Kerbal Space Program at 1440p and Xbox Series S will run it at 1080p.

“The additional system memory on these consoles results in a more stable game experience and allows for an increase of part count on player’s crafts and contraptions,” Private Division said.

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition will be available free for existing PS4 and Xbox One owners and released digitally priced at $39.99 for new players.

Already got the platinum but will be fun to play on ps5 lol using the controller was a pain in the ass.. having spent thousands of hours playing on m+k, i just could not get used to it.

Maybe ill make some videos once the upgrade hits

Basically just trying to use a controller, plus the game being a bit heavy for the Jaguars with anything more than simple rockets. The next-gen (current-gen?) update is addressing both problems, sounds like a good update for those jumping in late.

The first console release was an utter shit show.. It was so bad it was never fixed. Probably on of the worst console ports ever.

a new studio was called in to start from scratch. and that version was pretty good, But still highly limited and the controller made it akward. They should have always had M+K support, but atleast its coming now

Was the new version given to original owners?

Yea it was free for everyone who bought the first.. would have been a major shirstorm if not. the first was essentially non playable with progress deleting glitches and constant crashing.

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is out now on PS5! This is a free upgrade for all current owners of KSP Enhanced Edition on PS4. The new generation console version comes with a ton of performance improvements around framerate, resolution, shaders, and more. These improvements not only benefit the moment to moment gameplay experience, but also allow for more complex vessels to be designed and more intricate missions to be orchestrated. Also… now with full mouse and keyboard support!
