yeah they can't see you (they cover this in a commercial) they just can see whats on your screen. but my parents would love this feature but they are both rocking iPads

I think it's more for the people that don't already know how to use a tablet(ie old people)

I wouldn't use it but its nice and I hope people use it to get comfy with tech

I would much rather my mom hit the Mayday button than call me.

Also the issue with this that people bring up isn't seeing the rep's face, it's that they take control of your device. Might be why they show their face, regardless I don't see the issue and it's an awesome feature.

Pretty sure they cant see you and that is probably a request from the techs as well as customers. They would end up seeing some crazy things from some freaks like on chat roulette, if they could see you. It would make for some sick pranks, but the most common would be a dong shot as soon as the tech is connected.

If thirteen year old me had that Amy the Mayday operator gal would have been seeing a steady diet of my penis and butt if you could turn on your cam. Or I would make my wallpaper my butt so she'd have to see it. The fact you can see their reactions would make it way better than prank calling. My Kindle would have gotten banned and my dad would have flipped out and I'd would have been grounded for months.

Thankfully I have matured.

I think your chances of getting a hot redhead like Amy as your customer service rep are pretty slim.

Apple's Genius bar is one of the reasons people like iPads, this is just a significantly better way to facilitate that (assuming basic functionality works).

Also, I think their protocol requires verbal permission before they access the device itself even if you call.

I'm sure the first call they got was someone that pulled up some nasty ass porn and asked where this porn came from and how to get it off the screen. Seriously though, this is an enormous waste of money and no doubt their Amazon.com product prices are creeping up to pay for it.
