Sorry, I guess this is a targeted offer. Some might see the deal, some might not. My apologies, fellow GAFers.

KINDLE/KINDLE FIRE HD $50 OFF -- Link via Slickdeals that might work if you don't see the deal from the Amazon homepage
KINDLE PAPERWHITE/KINDLE FIRE HDX $75 OFF -- Link via Slickdeals that might work if you don't see the deal from the Amazon homepage

Searched for a thread and didn't see one.

Amazon US site has Kindle and Kindle Fire on sale.

$19 for Kindle
$44 for Paperwhite Kindle
$89 for Kindle Fire HD
$154 for Kindle Fire HDX

Ban my books if old.

Can you mod those Kindle Fires or are you stuck with the default amazon bloat?

Edit: I don't see any of those prices on Amazon US.

Seeing it.

Exclusively for you: Get $75 off Kindle Paperwhite ($119 $44) or Kindle Fire HDX ($229 $154), or $50 off Kindle ($69 $19) or Kindle Fire HD ($139 $89). Limited-time offer.

I don't have one, as I prefer BOOKS like a real man.

But since I might cave, is the OG kindle worth it or should I just give up and get one of the others?

Does that means it's $40 for an ad-free Paperwhite? I'm not seeing anything at the moment.

edit: Can those seeing the banner list if they're Prime members or not?

It's a targeted promo. It either shows up on the kindle page for you or it doesn't. Having said that, I got a paperwhite for $44.
Fuck yeah.

It's in the golden rod banner.

Should I get the regular Kindle or the Paper White?

I see it advertised on the front page. It looks like you need to click "apply offer" to get the low price.

Is the paper white worth it over the base model?

Oh well, just another reason to stick with my Nook for mobile reading and Kindle PC/Android for academic books.

It's probably not based on recent purchases, as I've recently bought a lot of high-priced scholarly books.

Regular Kindle vs. paperwhite.

$19 is sick, but $44 aint too bad either if the upgrade is really worth it.

Oh definitely the Paperwhite is worth it. The touch screen makes navigation a lot easier and the lighting makes it possible to read in lower light. You won't regret it.

I only see an offer to pay 20% of the price at initial purchase, and then the remainder in four monthly installments after that. So $23 up front, but you still pay the $119 eventually.

This is my page:

Wonderful to see random people getting in on a great deal and fucking over everyone else.

So nice of you, Amazon

EDIT: The fuck does "loyal customer" even mean. I've bought tons of stuff from them for years

So how is the Kindle Fire as an e-reader? My OG transformer is getting a little long in the tool and poor in the battery space. I would mostly be using it for regular books, but may expand out to some comics here and there, so I figured something color like the Fire might suit me a bit better than just a regular OG Kindle or Paperwhite one.

$44 for a Paperwhite.. and here I paid my $119 or whatever for my wife's this Christmas. That makes me a sad panda, but at least she loves it so it was worth the price regardless. :)

Well shit. I am a paid prime member, have been for a good while now. I buy all kinds of crap from them, and I didn't get this offer. We even own a Kindle Fire... it is my wife's but I wouldn't mind buying one myself, especially at this price.

:(
