Launch titles that would make you purchase the WiiU/PS4/720 Day One.

Long version

Say the new consoles are coming out. They're a little bit more expensive than we'd like (but not extortionate) and we still have a satisfactory backlog of games to enjoy. There are still games coming out on our existing consoles, and no vital reason to upgrade as of yet.

Give me the games that change this. The theoretical games that, for you, makes the purchase of new hardware a day one need.

They could be sequels to established franchises, for example "Uncharted 4"/"Halo 5"/"Super Mario Galaxy III" might simply be all that is needed for you to get on board. They could be more elaborate, dream projects that are highly unlikely to actually be made but would be enough for you to overcome any aversion to an expensive day one hardware purchase. They could be remakes, reimaginings or revisions of existing games. They could be something else entirely.

I want one game for each of the Wii U, Playstation 4, and Xbox 720 that will make you buy the console at launch. Feel free to elaborate as much as possible about the specific theoretical game, the talent behind it, the gameplay style, the franchises/IPs, the inspiration, etc.

Try to make your suggestions imaginative but not impossible - ie a "Final Fantasy IX Remake" is legally possible, "Mario Versus Halo" is not. Consider the broad range of IPs owned by each first party for example, or even third party resurrections of favoured but long-dead franchises.

If there is simply no possible game that will make you buy the console at launch, then state this.

Short version

Wii U

Playstation 4

XBox 720

Give a theoretical game for each one that will make you buy the console at launch, even if you have a backlog and the hardware is a little bit more expensive than you would like.

Try to give an answer for all three if you can.

Wii U: A new Star Fox game with the quality of Star Fox 64
MOTHER Collection- the MOTHER games in both their original forms and remade in HD

I'm not really interested in PS4 or a new Xbox.

Mirror's Edge 2 or Crackdown 3, probably. I have a feeling that sandbox games will be where the generational leap will be most evident.

Any of them: Valkyrie Profile 3, Star Ocean 5, No More Heroes 3 (or another game in the same universe)

As it is if I weren't already getting Ninja Gaiden 3 on PS3 I'd probably get it on WiiU.

WiiU - Mole Mania 2
Above-ground segments on TV, below-ground segments on the WU-pad.
It'll be the DS sequel we never got.

Xbox 3 - Phantom Dust 2
MS already has Futastugi on deck right? Why not make this happen?

Wii U - Honestly, nothing. All the biggest franchises are obvious ones and I can wait for the latest iterations.

Playstation 4 - An HD remake of Tokyo Highway Challenge.

XBox 720 - Jet Set Radio 3, or a new Project Gotham game.

Never bought a console at D1 and never will, but to answer the topic.. Xenoblade 2 / New big rpg from Takahashi

You know what I would love for Wii U launch? Phantasy Star Online 2.

I'm buying one at launch anyways for whatever Ninty first party stuff is out at launch, but damn that would make me happy.

As for the others, I probably will wait for price drops. It's worked for me in the past.

Wii U
Super Smash Bros., but we already know it's coming so I also say something like Capcom vs. Nintendo (hey, Ono said he wanted to make that game, and if Street Fighter x Tekken is possible, so is this.) F-Zero (by Criterion just to go with the extra crazy, but just F-Zero will be fine.)

PS4
Uncharted, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, all the good stuff.

Xbox 720
I... really can't think of any for this one. I'm not interested either in Halo or Gears. Maybe Fable.

PS3: Final Fantasy XV
WiiU: Monster Hunter 4/5, New Mario
360: Mass Effect 4? hard to tell on this one, not a fan of Gears or Halo.

Wii U - A new Retroid. Considering how good Prime 3 looked I can't imagine what they could do with better graphics capabilities, especially with their lovely environment design.

Edit: It would also use the WiiU controller to scan the environment and stuff! It would be really cool, they could go back to Prime 1 and 2 controls if they had to, though I would prefer Prime 3 controls.

I don't think there's anything that could make me get a WiiU, at launch. Or ever.

PS4 and 720 I'll probably buy at launch no matter what. If they come out within a few months of each other I'll buy the one with the better titles.

Nothing can get me to buy a energy sucking, loud, beta version console/radiator again. I'll get a console after the first redesign and I will wait for consumer reports.

The WiiU just needs something, anything (except a WarioWare game), that unquestionable establishes the merits and advantages of the tablet controller. It took a while for the DS to really get games like that, the Wii has very few that make intelligent use of the Wiimote/Nunchuk and the 3DS doesn't seem to have anything right now (and there's not much on the horizon, either).

Life will probably get in the way and I will probably end up not re-buying a Wii for SS.

So a Wii U enchanced version of SS would be very enticing.

Demon's Souls 3 for any of them.

Other than that pretty much nothing, I'm not prepared to risk my money on buying a console day one anymore. I've been burned too much by that already.

Wii U

Eternal Darkness 2 I'd pay top dollar for a return to the world of The Tome of Eternal Darkness. Also, a new Yoshi's Island game.

I doubt I'm going to be buying day one next generation, I've been falling to it every single time up until now...

Wii U: None
PlayStation 4: Gran Turismo
Xbox 720: Forza

I'm guessing those games would push me over the edge :P

Wii U
Something different from the usual maybe:
Advance wars/Battalion Wars Hybrid
WarioWare
New Star Fox
Pikmin 3
New Retro re-imagining/Ip

Playstation 4
New ips similar to Folklore, Heavenly Sword and the stuff they've shown for vita (Ruin,Gravity Rush/Daze, Sound Shapes) or you know just sequels to those.
New Media Molecule IP/LittleBigPlanet 3
New Naughty Dog IP/ Uncharted 4

XBox 720
Kameo 2
Some New IP in the Rpg/action Adventure genre
Some New IP in the Puzzle/Platforming Genre
Since I doubt any of these will happen I don't think i will be getting a "720" at launch, or ever :p

Multiplatform i'd buy what ever console allows me to play these
Mirror's Edge 2
GTA V or VI
Red Dead Next
New Valve IP/ Portal 3 (though I don't see what there is left to do with the series, so maybe not)

One can dream I suppose.

Garou Mark Of The Wolves 2
The King Of Fighters XIV

I'll definitely buy the Wii U day one, but Pikmin 3 as a launch title would be incredible.

I'll also probably pick up the PS4 at launch... With The Last Guardian.
