I played a few games today and got to try out the new Promenade at night (literally all it is lol) and it's ok. Promenade is my least favourite map so I mean it didn't blow me away and I was kind of hoping there may have been a few changes or something to change it up but nope.

The kick decals on the wall and floor are kind of cool and a nice touch. So far the class limit hasn't been an issue and it should be fine, I was a bit worried about this because I don't like restrictions

I'm still really enjoying the game and look forward to the new maps, hopefully we get them soon.

Said it before and I'll keep saying it, the leveling is too goddamn slow.

I agree or rather there is not enough reward vs playing imo. I wouldn't mind the slow leveling if there was more rewards. While the game is still a blast it would be nice to actually earn rewards towards new skins or something. I posted over in the discord a suggestion that the top 5 players should get currency as reward. It doesn't have to be much I know they obviously don't want everyone unlocking everything fast but like if the MVP got like 5 coins and the rest got 3 it would at least be something and while that isn't a lot it's still something to incentivize people.

It takes a long time to level and I leveled again today and got 1 duplicate and a bunch of kick decals so now it's gonna be awhile before another chance it's just really slow and not very rewarding imo.

Don't forget that today at 6pm PDT they're holding an event at the esports arena for Lawbreakers.

From the discord:

"In the Santa Ana area? Free tickets are still available for LG x FaZe Clan LawBreakers showdown at Esports Arena! Or watch from home live at 6pm PDT over at http://twitch.tv/faze !"

RSVP: https://www.esportsarena.com/santa-ana/events/2017/September/LGFaZeClan.html

Why was there another PS4 patch today? Bugs introduced in the Monday patch or something?

How was the turnout for this? I haven't had internet at home since Sunday thanks to the storm, so I missed it :(

The whole event was pretty good. Team Temperrr destroyed Team Rawkus 4-0 but the matches were still fun. They had a lot of professional players from Overwatch and COD on the teams as well as a fun thing but it was clear they hadn't played the game much because they weren't very good and when it came to Blitzball it looked like they had never played it before. After awhile they switched up players and added more professional Lawbreaker players and it got much better and pretty intense.

The winning team gets to design a sticker for the game so it'll be neat to see what it is but I imagine it'll be a Team Faze logo.

Lawbreakers is front page on Twitch today, ReclaimJoey has a great stream going. Nice to see a lot more support coming in for the game and it seems like BK is pushing it pretty hard. I've noticed the servers have been much faster for wait times.

Agree with the slow levelling speed being annoying. It feels like a hold-over from when the game was going F2P. Putting all their chips in people buying stash drops, but, I gave you $30, dawg. Feels like I should be getting more drops than this.

A lot of people have brought it up on the forums and Discord. If you're on the discord or forums I'd leave a comment or feedback because they do listen, I've brought it up before.

Would I be better off getting this on PS4 (original model) or PC (GTX 1070, etc)? Some things to note:

Graphics aren't everything to me. However, a good and steady framerate is important. And I do have a more than capable PC so keep that in mind.

Are the controls clunky or smooth on console? Like, Overwatch on consoles felt clunky, and Rainbow Six Siege controlled pretty well on consoles. Don't have too much of a preference towards control schemes.

Lastly, I don't have any friends that play Lawbreakers. Do we have any idea the player count on PS4 vs PC? Also, what's the most popular in this thread?

Thanks

The game runs solid on PC, I've had almost no issues and with a 1070 you'll be more than fine. While I've never played on PS4 I have used controller from time to time on PC and it feels really good to use imo, obviously on PC it's not as good as mouse and keyboard but it worked well. Overwatch is a clunky feeling game overall imo and Lawbreakers is most definitely a faster paced game.
You'll find it takes a bit to learn but it's rewarding once you find your favorite roles.

In terms of player base from what I understand the PS4 is running stronger than PC number wise. The PC community right now is smaller but it's a pretty tight community. That being said if you don't want to have occasional wait times and the such the PS4 might be the best path for you.

If you do buy the game you can check out their discord they have up which is good for finding players and leaving feedback/general chat. The whole team is in Discord so you can ask questions and they usually respond pretty quick and the forums are also good for finding people.

You get higher frame rates with the PC version ofcourse since it's not capped to 60 (I assume the console version is) and it feels good with this game. Can't comment how the game plays on a controller. But obviously great on M+KB. All I know about PS4 version is that blindfire is badly binded to the d-pad and hence is uncomfortable to use.

I'd assume that since it's GAF you are asking, we have more people playing on PS4 than PC. I haven't played in the last two days, but my longest wait time ever for match is around 2 minutes, I'd say under 3 atleast on PC. Though I've occasionally just changed the region when I couldn't get a match fast on EU servers, so it's very likely I would have needed to wait more to find a match in my own region.
Earlier one of the devs has shared this graph, no idea how things are currently.

It's also worth noting that hey will be holding a community stream in an hour and they will be teasing one of the new upcoming maps.If anyone is interested in seeing some of the upcoming content and some more game play you could always check it out.

From what a bunch have been saying the PS4 is now more steady than the PC but obviously they haven't confirmed it. The new Gamespot interview with Cliff kind of hinted towards that though but without numbers who knows.

What are the playtimes for people? Especially interested to hear about others who bought around launch to compare, 90 hours for me.

I don't care if she's considered properly balanced or not, every time I face a really good assassin player it makes me straight up quit the game.
Haha. Titan/Gunsligers are the ones that really grind me gears.
I don't quite though :p

65 hours, last played on Sept 12. Don't care for Lawbreakers anymore cuz I can't play LB seriously anymore; the player base is too tiny for me to care.

She's not, they need to nerf the shotgun and buff her elsewhere. Nobody even uses melee unless her ult is up.

Assassin and Gunslinger are the two that need the most adjustments currently but that patch is due pretty soon they said.

Still going strong with this game, but goddamn the good Assassins drive me fucking nuts. Can't even run away from them because they're Assassins.

The assassin ult is one of the strongest in the game. All I can do when I hear that line is run away, the life steal is too strong.

I still find watching assassins that are using the shotgun mainly one of the more skillful things to observe in the game. Moving around at high speed while having to lead targets with that gun is a tall order but it does great damage as a reward.
