I think NMS would've had a release date by now if they weren't adding VR support.
Sean Murray at one point said 'I don’t know what I’m allowed to say' when asked about (then) Morpheus suppot. When asked about release announcement, he said 'We can’t announce the date right now, because of things that are not entirely in our control, but honestly for good reasons.' I think it's looking good.

Oh yeah. It works really well too.

I've played it and can confirm you use the DS4 to pilot the craft in any direction.

Even better, to fire missiles you hold down L2 to activate targeting and then look at an individual enemy to lock on to it. Release the button to fire the missile. It's all very cool stuff.

Anyone knows if PS VR is going to support some 3rd party videos like porn? Looks like not a single studio has PSVR format yet

This could be a gamechanger. Just adding VR support for free to existing games.Good way to get people to consider the hardware. Tell them they already have an existing library for it.

I'm hoping it comes with a video player that lets you play any 180/360 videos which come as .avis or .mpgs so there doesn't even have to be a PSVR format, I don't think.
The format of the files would be mp4, more than likely, but the videos themselves would probably still need to be tailored to PSVR's specific resolution. At the moment, most of those sites are issuing at least two versions of their video files, one for Oculus and one for GearVR.

First half of 2016 ? It's coming faster than I thought ! My dream scenario would be : they announce shitload of games at their E3 conference then they go "Available tomorrow in stores for the cheap price of 299$"

Exactly. Long as there's a dedicated video player, there's nothing to worry about. Sony would be crazy not to include one, especially given that so many people are shooting their own "VR" videos these days.

So guys I had a chance to try out PS VR today at the Warsaw Games Week and wanted to share my experience.

I've got to play a short chunk of the London Heist - the interrogation scene and the robbery scene.

I went in fresh with no prior VR experience.

The headset is very comfortable, it my head perfectly and I could wear glasses no problem. First things first, there is a bit of a screen door effect and you can visibly see pixels.

But when the scene starts it's a very jarring feeling. While I was aware that it's just virtual reality and actually had that thought in my head, when the thug starts threatening you and throws a cigarette at you, I just naturally tried to evade and leaned back. You quickly forget about the low resolution and even the screen door effect. In the next scene, still knowing that what's happening isn't real, I subconsciously got so deep into it, that when I wanted to put down my flashlight I didn't think that I have a Move controller in my hand and instead of pushing a button, I fucking dropped it lol...

The controlls are very simple and intuitive, the demo acted on me a bit, screen went black two times for a second, but it were probably
just some technical issues with the setup. It was also pretty much an on rails game.

The graphics were surprisingly good. It's hard to describe, overall I wouldn't say they were better than PS3 graphics but some elements definitely were better. They also used a very smart design decision, the enemies in the "bank" were a bit blurry, so I couldn't clearly see their faces which usually are the biggest immersion breakers, this coupled with fantastic animation resulted that the enemies seemed like real people.
Absolutely no motion sickness, I don't know what the framerate was, it looks really good so I assume 60fps with the time warp but it just felt natural, I didn't think about it at all.

It was a very short demo, around 5 minutes and I've played basically all the games on the showfloor that even slightly interested me, but it was hands down the most powerful experience and the one that is stuck in my head even though and couple hours passed, I can't stop thinking about it. It's clearly the first step and it's early days for VR, it's not perfect, has some obvious flaws, but I'm sold on the idea. After finally trying it out I've decided to support this idea on Day One. While it won't replace traditional gaming in the foreseeable future I think that we might have something big on our hands. Hopefully Sony will manage to sell it to the masses.

Any info if Tumble will come to PSVR? Seems such a perfect game for it - great use of move controllers, simple enough to likely work at 120Hz native.

Glad to see people are finally experiencing VR and get no motion sickness. Solid Impressions eFKac.

I think if people try it, they will be sold on it. This needs to be at Best Buy and GAME's all over the world.

Apollo 11 VR Experience is another full title coming to PSVR. It was confirmed in a Kickstarter update a few weeks ago:

"Apollo 11 VR Logo
Release Window / Platforms

We know that most of you have been waiting patiently for news on when you can get your hands on the final release of Apollo 11. We will be releasing Apollo 11 during Q1 of next year and will be available on the consumer Oculus Rift for launch. We are also releasing on the PSVR and VIVE.

For backers who purchased early access ( pre-release ) pledges we will be sending them the DK2 version early as well as a code to download the experience on the platform of their choice. "

I haven't been following VR-related stuff ,but ,seeing that a game like Tekken 7 is coming to PSVR, does this mean VR will simply be a visual equivalent of audioheadsets we currently use ?

This could really be amazing. We could game in private anytime we want #_#...Without occupying or needing a TV.

No this is not how VR works they aren't like regular HMD where you have a screen in your eyes. Tekken 7 support is probably a mode where you play in a VR situation hence why I didn't put it in Games section but in Support Section. Just so peopple know the difference same as DOA Extreme 3.

Megaton Rainfall might just be a platform seller by itself. I remember it from that video that was going around a while back.

I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but there's still the possibility of a "cinema" mode: a VR cinema in which you play normal games on a huge virtual screen.

Not sure if there's a tech limitation to prevent this though.
I was hoping for automatic support on all games and something that offers perspective into all games through the headset.

Guess its more on the gimmicky side, with games needing "special VR" modes.

Gimmicky? I don't know what you're asking for here. There's no way to take a 2D game, split it in two with stereoscopic 3D, and add head tracking. Games have to be designed for VR for the ground up.

If you're asking for a 2D game to just fill up your whole view, with no head tracking, trust me that it's not going to feel or look very good.

Should be technically possible, but it will just look like a gigantic SDTV. Suitable for PS1/PS2 games, but not PS4 games and Blu-ray movies when the real physical world alternative is so much more crisp.

Also Among the Sleep should be removed form the OP. The developers have Dropped VR support.
Yes, they dropped support for it on the main game but they did mentioned they were going to make a standalone VR version of the game, so I don't no if I should remove it or add (standalone version) to it's title.

No i'am just speculating haha.

But what else could it be? I'm pretty sure they don't keep stuff like a new update, racemode or tracks 'behind closed doors'. But I guess its not the right thread to discuss that.
Sure VR is a good ossibility, but it could be a sneak peak at a Season Pass 2, new expansion they plan on, features from the new patch like private lobbies and whatnot + bikes, whatever. DriveClub is clearly a service game now that will be supported with new features over time.
We'll see soon what it is, since DriveClub runs at 30fps, so they'd need a lot of engine reworking to make it run in VR plus GT Sport is coming, so it seems kinda redundant at this point for me. Anyway whatever it is, bring it on, love me some DriveClub.

Edit. Lol there you go, VR it is then.

I wish they would give the option to enable 60fps in the main game (dialing back those graphic options).
