Kentucky:

Mississipi:

VIRGINIA:

These election are getting a lot of hype due to the Democrats and their media using this as a tell for whether Trump has been doing a good job, and whether the Impeachment procedures hurt or help him.

Ken and MI are governor/Mayoral elections.

The one to watch is Virginia which is the race the media is salivating over as its similar to 2018.

All 140 house seats are up for grabs and a significant number of Senate seats. If the Republicans win, it means they gained a large amount of support. If they lose than that means Virginia is doomed. Oh, and the Democrats have likely stuffed the state with voters.

It's a big deal these elections. Because the Democrats made them one. ;)

From the looks of things so far the Republicans will win all 3. Expect meltdowns in the morning tomorrow.

Wasn't Bevin the most unpopular governor in America until just recently?

Congrats on squeaking out a victory over that guy lol

Looks like John Hicks might have made the difference in Kentucky, that's a really tight race. Trump and McConnell won't be happy about that.

1 extra seat in the VA house isn't much if a gain. Seems Virginia is very close and the Dems will have a smaller majority then the GOP did before today.

Looks like Virginia is still a swing state in 2020.

Oh and VA white voters don't mind the governor and vice governor woaring klan robes and lied about it. But hey, if ya got a (D) next to your name you get a free pass to screw over black people if the alternative isn't another Democrat.

It seems like last couple rounds of democratic wins is the result of all the woke identity politics rearing it’s ugly head. It’s only a matter of time before the masses become disillusioned with the hypocritical, broken, and destructive nature of that mindset. We have even recently seen Obama speak out against it.

Bevin won't concede. Makes sense, irregularities, illegals, and machine issues could have given Beshar a less than a. 03% lead.

Even AP won't call it. Time for the recounts.

Attorney General-elect Daniel Cameron, who will be the first black A.G. in Kentucky history and the first Republican to hold the office since 1948.
Oh? Democrats will freak-out over this.

Weird election here in Kentucky. Republicans dominated every other election, but it didn’t help Bevin overcome Louisville’s Chicago style cheating.

Tough spot for the new guy. Supermajorities for the GOP in both chambers of the legislature and holding every other state office.

I’m actually pulling for him to get some gambling expansion here.

Kentucky native here. Bevin was a great governor. I hope he hangs in there and gets a recount.

From an outsider position Trump apparently seems more popular than he actually is inside the US then? Losing Kentucky... That's Kind of big deal isnt it?

Bevin is unpopular and it’s not all that surprising he lost. He had one of the lowest approval ratings in the country amongst other governors. This was more about Bevin than it was about Trump.

Would I have preferred him to a Democrat? Undoubtedly. Still it’s gonna be funnier than hell watching this poor fool get torn to shreds by Kentuckians though. He’ll be a one termer and leave torn and savaged lol.

Bevin was kind of an asshole, and the Beshear family is crooked as hell. No good choices there. I am Ok with a dem long enough to legalize casino gambling and marijuana, but then Beshear has to go.

Yeah, he was an abrasive sort of guy, and said stupid stuff that pissed people off. He didn't have any of that entertaining over-the-top bombast that Trump does.

I think we will get some form of gambling expansion, hopefully racinos to help our horse breeders and farms, etc. No way we get the marijuana thing with this legislature. It will be legalized federally first.

President Small Penis can spin it however the fuck he wants, but it is absolutely not a good look when a Dem wins in a state that he won by 30 points. In a state that Republicans usually win with ease.

Don't forget he made this true-to-form real man/real tough guy quote
Donald Trump said:
"You gotta vote because if you lose, it sends a really bad message. It just sends a bad and they're going to build it up ... You can't let that happen to me."
He loves to make everything about himself.

Before all you left wingers jump for joy, rest assured that the Dems will probably do something absolutely stupid and nominate Elizabeth Warren as the nominee.

I think Trump is an absolute moron and an idiot when it comes to book smarts, but is a savant/genius when it comes to street smarts and manipulating his enemies into doing stupid things.

I fully suspect he will do everything he can to try and bait the Dems into nominating Warren. As much as I absolutely loathe Trump, even I would have to consider him over Warren.

This should be the tag that goes under your name. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Also where are all my GafBros Prolific Political Posters who keep hooting and hollering in every lib bashing thread (read: 80% of /pols front page at any given moment) about how PC libs have hurt Dems nationally and that the American electorate is “waking up” and abandoning Dems for the Truth of the Orange Man Gospel.

Oh that’s right, crickets.

Dont really see how its a referendum one way or the other. Mississippi went as expected, Virginia has been trending blue for awhile and Kentucky seemed more about Bevin than trump. The GOP managed to get every other office in the state, so that's something. Overall I'd call it a wash. People read too much into things sometimes.

Virginia going all blue is a much bigger deal than Bevin losing. Hats off to them.
Is it really that much of a surprise? The dems have won the last three presidential elections there, the last two governors races, and have both Senate seats. The GOP losing the state houses should have been expected eventually. Virginia is more or less a slightly less blue Maryland now.

Bevin is the most unpopular governor in the US. The OP is probably the only one shocked he didn’t win. Republicans won the other 5 races in Kentucky.

You are right actually. Nobody is "waking up." We are all pacified with the Soma of sports, Netflix, and cheap carbs. Pockets of resistance that occasionally flare at the ballot box are being simply outnumbered with non-American invaders. (i.e. Virginia)

No, its not a surprise at all. Virginia is the perfect example of demographic change turning things blue. Northern Virginia is overrun with federal employee drones and immigrants. That crowd that booed Trump at the nationals game were these same people.

And very easily too. I voted for Bevin because I only vote for pro-life candidates. He also signed Constitutional Carry into law, which is a great thing. But I admit he can be pretty unsavory. I know people who voted GOP for the other offices but voted against Bevin. I also know right-leaning types who protested by voting for the LOLbertarian candidate.

Beshear is also the son of a popular former governor who was term-limited out of office. It was just a perfect storm of factors, and it still ended up in a super narrow squeaker with Louisville cheating providing the margin of victory and then some.

No, Trump could have lost Kentucky in 2016 and still won, it's not exactly valuable in the EC.

Also AP still hasn't called it and it's the next day, so even they see it too close to call, and with the margin of error they want to wait for the recounts.

Looks like the recounts already have Bevin ahead in two districts they thought he lost last night.

Still counting but it seems that Kentucky was a mistake and Bevin actually won, add that with Mississippi and that's 2/3, a Republican win for the night. Sad about Virginia, but least all sanity isn't lost.

Trump needs to campaign in states with huge EC payouts frequently until around spring next year, than get those smaller states and do a final lap the last couple months before the election to prevent more close calls. Ken is only 8 EC votes, but the must win states are 15 or more.

Even then in Virginia the dems only gained a one seat advantage in the senate and a 5-6 seat advantage in the House, smaller than the Slim majority Republicans had yesterday. A win in Ken and MI, and we have a pretty solid election. The elevations are also trending in the GOP favor, and of the 3 states al the down ticket votes are 80% republican ij cumulative. Mayoral elections in VA were 67% Republican through vertical points of interest. So it's a pretty good indication that Virginia is still a swing state Trump can win if he spends more time there, and Ken and Mi are still safe.

Keep up the good work Trump.

Recount? You need an approved court order for that to happen. Do you mean 'recanvassing'?

He lost by 5000 votes. I don't think a recount, barring some outrageously huge irregularity, is going to make up for that.

There were irregularities, Bevin spoke of them in a video when he said he would not concede. Look at his speech from last night or the transcript. Even AP won't call it and it's been 9 hours since 12am.

Reports are saying things are looking up for Bevin atm, the walls are closing in on Beshar.

Did he say what these supposed irregularities were?
