Hey guys, my girlfriend's birthday is in a month, we've been together for 8 years, so I've already done the jewelry, clothes, all that stuff. I want to get something for her that's meaningful/thoughtful. Last birthday someone gave me the idea of getting a star named after her with a map, etc. So I got her that with some jewelry... That I thought was a good Idea (I know it isn't actually named after her, just kinda for fun I guess), but we got to have fun with it by laying under the stars and looking for it, etc. Anyway, I've kinda run out of ideas, and want to get something nice for her. My budget is no more than ~400$.

Thanks!

Take out a billboard professing your love for a week?

(Unless you think this would make her uncomfortable or be too public a display of affection.)

Pay for an experience you can share with her rather than a physical item. Some way to spend time together that you wouldn't do on some random weekend. If you do it right, you'll help her create special memories that enrich your relationship.

You know her best. You cant ask strangers whats meaningful to her.

This is a good idea, though.

It's less an issue of asking for advice as it is failing to provide any details from which we could actually provide relevant advice outside of generic gift giving strategies like the one you quoted.

All I know about her is they've dated for 8 years and she's received normal gifts before.

A weekend somewhere. Four hundred can get you a nice room for a night or two.

Or a large print of your dick with a professional frame.

Get a dildo made from a mould of your actual penis. If you ever split up I'm sure she'd be more than happy not to post a photo of it on the net or sell it on ebay. In many ways it's the perfect gift for a loved one.

Yeah this. Maybe a weekend trip somewhere within driving distance, or a really fancy dinner. You can afford a Michelin-starred place for $400, or a night at a hotel or b&b.

I actually purchased a platinum vibe for my waifu; it was pretty nice and only half the op's budget.

I'd say go with the people who are suggesting an experience.

A posh hotel room, a show, and a nice dinner out?

A weekend in some other town...doesn't have to be fancy, could just be a small town.

Outdoors stuff? Hiking, sight seeing, kayaking, etc.

Skydiving?

essentially something she'll get to do that is different from her day-to-day. She'll remember it.

Make a scavenger hunt, litter it with heartfelt letters and notes (the kind of stuff that you'd leave for her when you first started dating, make sure that the scavenger hunt leads her back to the point that she started, except when she gets back you have flowers and a comically large stuffed bear waiting for her as well as the scavenger hunt reward, then take her out to dinner.

Honestly man, you don't have to move reality to make her happy on her birthday. Just show her that you care and that the level of affection hasn't decreased over the course of your relationship, and that, if anything, it's gotten stronger.

Take her somewhere. Do a weekend trip? A spa trip? A day out with a really nice dinner? A hike?

Chances are she'll remember the day more than anything you get her.
