LTTP: Beyond Good & Evil

I remember posting at that time... I was kinda anxious about the GAF's opinion on the game. Time has gone, since then, and I grew some sanity =)
I've been moving around for a little while, but am currently still in Ancel's team.

Good, now go slap whoever is in charge with a wet towel until he/she/it agrees to an unlimited budget for development of BG&E 2.

My local Circuit City stores have a fuckton of the PS2 version in their clearance bins. I imagine many CC stores across the country have plenty of copies, as well.

I still see PS2 copies all over the place. Best Buy online had them for $9.99 as recently as a month ago, and there are lots of them still in stores. Media Play had a bunch of them at $8.99 as well..

It's kind of a shame, but it IS the inferior version.

Wait, are the Xbox and GC versions rare or something? My local gamestore had several copies of each in last time I checked.

I haven't seen the GC version anywhere in over a year. Occasionally, I see the XBOX version in FYE, but it's definitely harder to find than the PS2 version in my area.

The GC version is so scarce that it's almost a collector's item.

Really? I may just have to buy it then. I already own two copies of the Xbox version, because I had heard it would be impossible to find again if I ever lost my copy.

It's so weird that someone who worked on one of my favorite games ever (BG&E) and one of the best games of this year (KK) is posting in a thread, and I have nothing interesting to ask them. Those games were so complete and amazing that there is not one nagging thought in my head. Congrats man, good job.

So, will you give us the heads up when you start working on another game? Was the story for the trilogy of BG&E written before the first game was finished?

I guess I'm not allowed to say anything my employer does not want me to say.
About the BG&E story, there were a lot of things that got written. Some of them actually created a context in which the ending of the game made some sense =)

Really?

You guys are pretty great. Rayman/Rayman2/Beyond Good & Evil are games I enjoy so much I kinda catagorize them separately from everything else. There's something to them that's not in other games. Not even Zelda, and that's my most beloved series.

I'm completely blown away myself, just wow..wow.. I have not had this much fun with a game like this in so so long. I figured I add to an already established thread then just make a new one. I felt that old feeling I got playing a great sierra game and it makes me realize just how different and better the industry could have been with more games like this. Is there any way to currently show support for this game and its small chance of follow ups? Besides buying a few more which I would presume would not make an ounce of difference at this point besides clearing out the bins.
