Luigi's Mansion Arcade now in USA

Omg I was so giddy tonight. Went on a date with this amazing gal and we played Luigi's Mansion for a good 20 minutes and had a blast.

We were at Dave n Busters in Nashville

There's three levels and they are straight from the 3DS version. The mechanics of the game with the real physical vacuum are so charming.

I'm surprised that OP found this at a D&Bs. Most I've been to have a sparse selection of games. It's mostly ticket games.

Not at the one in Nashville at Opry Mills Mall. Ton's of legit arcade games, and the D&B is huge.

For anyone looking to try it they had one at the Dave and Busters in Hollywood near the Chinese Theater, I played it there about 2 weeks ago. Not a bad game, the controllers being the in game vacuum was an amazing touch.

Judging from the video, it looks like Luigi's Mansion 2 in first person. The mansions and rooms are exactly the same, and the assets appear upressed.

Columbus D&B please get on this.

Admittedly I haven't been there in ages so they may already have it, but I don't presume to be that lucky.

I'd love to play this but I'd settle for Luigi's Mansion and Kid Icarus Uprising coming to Wii U and/or NX.
Never understood why we didn't get ports of both games on the Wii U. Totally feasible due to low cost and quick development, probably pretty safe Return of Investment.

Interface wise Wii U is perfect for both.

So the way it works is as follows

- it's on rails.
- Three levels from the 3DS
- Graphics absolutely stunning
- Sound is amazing too
- Don't get to explore all of the levels from the 3DS. Just parts of it.
- you hold a physical vacuum device.
- essentially acts like a wiimote pointer on the screen
- two buttons (can do just one for simple)
- Normal control. One button is the flash light, other is vacuum
- Simple control. Initial press is the flash light. Press and hold is vacuumn.
- second player is blue Luigi
- Made by Capcom
- Most wanted arcade machine there. Tons of people were in line. Everyone absolutely loved it.

Can't wait to go back and play it again!!

Made by capcom? How does that work?! Does that kind of thing happen a lot and I'm just ignorant?

I just played it at my local Dave and Busters(Philadelphia). Very fun but the right controller was a little off on the tracking.

The lack of Luigi's Mansion on Wii is such a missed opportunity. I've waited it since before Wii release T_T

I was surprised when I saw one at the Springfield location last night, it was definitely something fun to do over the abundance of mobile ports and ticket games.

-I have little to zero expectations when it comes to graphics for arcade games, so the up-rez'd 3DS assets actually looked very nice in comparison to most other games present
-The vacuum mechanic feels really good. You can surge if you are sucking for long enough, which gets you bonus gold like in LM2.
-The controller clacks when you suck up coins, which felt like a nice touch. The immersion all around in the cabinet was good, but not overdone (there machine brightens when you use the strobulb, for example)
-You have 3 hearts IIRC. However, hearts take partial damage, so it's not a 3 hits your out sort of scenario. I didn't see any health pickups other than an end of stage bonus I think.
-No new enemies or areas from what I played. The Brain was changed a bit to be more like a traditional light gun style boss, and serves as the boss for the first area.

My dad dropped out a bit before the end of the first area, I played through the factory (second area) until I died. The game overall was leagues better than the ghostbusters arcade game that D&B was advertising (although the best game I played last night would probably have to be Time Crisis 5).

I enjoyed it more than Dark Moon.

Will we ever get another console/handheld Luigi's Mansion, I wonder? DM was awesome and successful, I thought at least.
