GT5 is right up there on my list of games to get on day 1. I hope they have a kick ass wheel to go with it (not a shell for the PS3 Controller). Of course if GT Mobile does come out..it should be a launch title for the PSP 2(Touch)

My favorite way to play GT has always been to use the right analog stick for gas and break. That's how I want to be able to play it on the PSP the same way.

there is already pretty good official wheel... and then there is G25... what else?

A little off topic but only Lambos and Buggattis are not confirmed right?

Correct. Kaz said they're in negotiations with Porsche (although it seems like they're a lock), no word on Bugatti or Lambo though.

Bugatti :O They didn't even want to send their car to the Top Gear race track.

They seem to be changing now. Top Gear finally got to test it and its appeared in two games now (NFS: ProStreet and the upcoming Supercar Challenge).

5. Two release versions, one SKU where you pay a large amount of money that allows you free excess to all future vehicle DLCs and another SKU which you have the option to purchase singular DLCs for.

They'll get the Veyron in, no doubt about it, I hope Porsche makes it too, although theres always the cheating method again (RUF).

Gran Turismo 5 is the game which will finally make me buy my own PS3, and frankly, if the "premium" version is something stupid like £100 or something, it's still getting bought, I want this game THAT much.

Until 2010, when the game is actually released (I read that cryptic message as 11 months from now, or March 2010, and I bet that's JP only) I can only dream of the awesomeness of GT to come.

Oh, I still want GT:Mobile to be real, it doesn't need to be 50% of GT4s content, I Just want the game, on my PSP, NOW.

This is a function of who actually plays these games more than the game itself.
Yes and no. Theres a crowd that will run into people for shits and giggles, and then theres a crowd that will run into people so they can take turns faster and win.

The difference between the racing sims is that one rewards the behavior and the others don't.

I'm sure this has already been picked apart, but stay with me if it hasn't.

Sixth wind is telling the tale about different reunion but almost the same as known one, smaller only for the eyes of those who do not want to see it in its whole glory. That different reunion will not happen in the realm same as the known one, but in the different realm which still has not been uncovered to the birdtamers. That realm will resemble realm already known but it will be divine new and made in the image of it.

Totally sounds like:

Smaller realm = PSP-4000.

Edit: To clarify.

"Smaller only for the eyes of those who do not want to see it in its whole glory". PSP = smaller screen, etc.

Not happen on the same realm as the known one (not on PS3, which is known).

Realm not uncovered to the birdtamers = we're those guys, we don't know about new PSP yet.

Resemble realm already known, but it will be devine new and made in the image of it.

THIS ABSOLUTELY SELLS IT AS THE NEW PSP and GT MOBILE.

Hope you're right.

I hope they haven't held off on releasing GT mobile just to launch with the new PSP. That would really upset me because it's seriously one of the only reasons I bought a PSP in the first place all those years ago. I will still buy it and all that but it would be something of a kick in the nads. Especially if it's not on UMD.

He also commented on firmware 2.40 (that introduced XMB and trophies) and Killzone 2, and he was right. Reading that from him makes me excited.

And then it got owned by the work of art that is the Pagani Zonda F Roadster on the track. :D

He was also the first person the report that the Zone Mode in WOHD had been changed.

Oh shit, amar212 is also credible, so then we can assume:

1. Simultaneous worldwide release by March 2010
2. Shitload of cars and tracks including remakes from GT4
3. Possible track editor
4. Voice chat, party mode, clan suport, lobby, major online support
5. Premium and basic sku
6. GT for PSP 4000
7. Possibly no damage or dynamic weather or real time weather (since it wasn't mentioned)

I was honestly impressed with the Veyron, and i've questioned in the past. We all knew that its handling was rather heavy. And despite that its able to make up a lot of what it gives away in handling in just pure speed. It'd definitely be a monster in a game if you were able to get it under control.

If it makes for a better game (especially if PSP4000 comes with dual analog and touch as it's been rumored), then I'm all for it. What I really want though is good smart and innovative connectivity with GT5 on PS3.

I'm just glad they are going to release it (if this is true). I had lost all hope

Mostly true.

Can you tell us if there are errors in the guesses, or stuff left out of them?

That said. None of those things are too far from what someone may expect.

Number of cars sounds right comparing to 3 and 4. Number of tracks sounds right. The chat/lobbies thing sounds right.

The only thing that is new and a little interesting is the creator of tracks with existing pieces. Although it would let us finally create the best track ever with our favorite turns from other famous tracks. A combo of Eau Rouge, a bit of Monza, the tunnel and Casino turns from Monte Carlo, the long straight from Brazil and a couple of turns from Canada (the one with the wall on the right) would make a nice challenging track.

Well, if you want a supercar just ask Aston really nicely for a DBR 9, not only does it look better than the Veyron (Best looking racer ever in my view) but goes round the TG track in 1:08.

Anywho, one of the things I WILL be doing in Gran Turismo 5 will be hammering around the TG test track, attempting to get near the times set by the stig in every single car covered by Top Gear, the rest of the game will be a bonus, a huge one.

After some thought I think the G25 is too expensive for my tastes. What is the next step down from the G25?

I got a G25 off ebay for a great price, I would keep an eye for a deal. The G25 completely changed my perception of home racing games. I got a playseats evolution off of ebay too for over half off.

Also, it's not for sale to the public, and certainly not road legal like the Zonda or Bugatti, hence why it's not on their boards. But yes, those Aston's are incredible. I loved when "James May" was in the one against the people from Germany in that one. Sounded soooo glorious, especially when it's sound is going against that Porsche :p

Hopefully the game comes out with a few massive surprises though bundled in, and not just Prologue with more cars, tracks, and a solid online structure.

That's why I said to ask really nicely, cause it's a race car only :)

I LOVE the sound of the DBR 9, that engine is magnificent and when the Stig chucked it round the track it was pure car porn.

Anyway, as long as GT5 has fast cars, lots of tracks (including the test track) better physics, decent AI and glorious graphics, that's more than enough for me.

GT4 literally could last a gamer years, if GT5 gets anywhere near the content of its predecessor then it will easily be the best console racer ever.

I don't remember the top track in previous GT games? Features two bridges.

Oh look, it's Tahiti Maze... yet again :(

these old tracks should be DLC, if a person has a hard on for these tracks they should be forced to pay for them.

Nurburgring, Complex String and Grindelwald are the only old tracks that should feature on the GT5 Blu-ray - all the others (50+) should be brand new to GT5.

The Top Gear track will be great for that reason. But before people get too excited, they know that it's a really Mickey Mouse track right? The way they film it on Top Gear makes it look very impressive, but if you see the actual track map it's decidedly uninspiring:

The top track is Chamonix; one of the snow tracks from GT4.

What I need to care:

1) Online
2) Destructible cars
3) In cockpit view
4) Car color / graphic editor

Come on Sony you can do it.
