I always said that I'd never get into another relationship any sooner than one year after breaking up, but every relationship I've had has always come within six months after my previous relationship. I wasn't looking for love but that mother fucker found me.

Not only found you, but helped create you.

I used to always say that I wouldn't be a father.

My 1 year-old son makes me eat those words.

I always said when I was a kid I never wanted to sit at a desk for a job when I grew up.

Then the internet happened.

Maybe a drug or two I said I would never try.

I was pretty adamant about never getting married when I was a teen/early twenties.. 36 and my second wife hopefully will be my last lol.

Although I'm a "never say never" type so even the above 2 things I never quite outright said I'd never do.

Never thought I'd get married. While I saw myself as having a kid at some point, I never thought it'd be because I was married. Meeting the right woman changed all that.

After I finished undergrad, I swore I would never go back for an advanced degree. 20 years later, I went to law school.

I didn't eat any mustard until a few years back

why did I not do that, mustard is awesome

arbitrarily assumed untruths

The only major think i have ever said (at least in adulthood that i can remember) is that i will never, ever, ever have kids. I said it before i started dating my now fiance 10 years ago, i said it before we bought a house together and reminded him a third time when he engaged so he wouldn't have a false notion of me changing my mind sometime in the future.

Quit smoking weed to get a job

I dont think i will ever forgive myself

Basically ruined my life because of numerous medical reasons

Clearly smoking, drinking and drugs are things that you never imagine yourself doing as a child.

For less common things, I always said I didn't want to take over the family business when I grew up, but I guess none of my other siblings wanted to either and they all seem to have a bit more resolve than I do.

I said I'd never eat ass. Did it anyway.

I eat everything.

I really can't think of anything. I've never done anything that I said I wouldn't do. Maybe driving. I went a long time without driving after I got my license because I really didn't like it. Now I drive the short commute to work but don't drive anywhere else. I still don't like it.

I got back with my girlfriend after splitting up a couple months ago.

I even made a thread in GAF, everyone told me I was doing the right thing. And then we got back together because I'm dumb like that.

Getting married, having kids, living in the 'burbs, going to a regular job, drive a boring car, etc.

I thought I was gonna be a rock star with hot groupies and partying 24/7.
