Beelzebub - 101

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure:

I liked how there was a decent balance between the good guys fighting the stands instead of Jotaro doing everything but post Tarot stands it seems to mostly just be Joseph or Polnareff doing WACKY stuff while fighting CRAZY stands.

Cheating..serious business.

lol @ Voltron.

I wonder how En will react (will he still cry and burn down the place).
A note from our translator that didn't make it into the release: His name is Enou. "Ou" means Lord but that's not his title, it's actually part of his name.

Oh you read that shit too? Who knew.

Incidentally the JoJo Project people are also pretty steamed about the 4chan response. We're going to give it another try next week and hopefully people will be less stupid. If not, well, ragequits incoming...

Beezlebub:

I think the rich dude is the best non-Toujou/Oga delinquent. I like him more in bishi-mode, though.

e: also, poor Furuichi. Despite his best efforts the only girl latching on to him is a tsundere loli named Lamia.

Bakuman 125 is out.

What happened?
(the link in your previous post appears to be broken)
Almost everyone was bitching about how Red Hawk is coming in to take over the series and messing up the translation and ruining the typesetting just because we want more attention. Not one single person seemed happy. Half of them didn't seem to notice it was a joint, and the other half didn't seem to know that the only thing we did was clean. We had nothing to do with any of the things they were blaming us for.

Then when the JJP people tried to set them straight, they accused them of secretly being Red Hawk agents doing damage control. We don't even post on 4chan, ever.

Next week is make or break. If we get a similar response, we're out. Shizuka says that JJP will probably quit as well if that happens. It's really not worth it.

Next you will hear : Red Hawk bullies JJP to quit doing Jojo. Damn you Red Hawk.

I kind of wish that we'd gotten a heads up that so many fans of SBR are crazy idiots. I wouldn't have bothered in the first place.

Were 4chan members complaining on your site(s)/to you guys directly or just whining on their own board? I know it's hard work taking on multiple series and doing the work on it but it doesn't seem fair to allow people from one forum community to ruin enjoyment of a series for everybody, especially if all they are doing is complaining within their own community. Of course this is 4chan so I wouldn't be surprised if they were threatening you guys or something.

Bakuman 125:

The only thing worth mentioning is members of Nanamine's 50 authors "snitching" to the editors of Jump, which most figured would happen. Otherwise the chapter was horrible.

The vast, vast majority of the fanbase is on 4chan and almost all of the discussion occurs there, and the reaction was unanimous. I think it is a fair assessment that we are probably wasting our not inconsiderable time and effort. Furthermore, we have no interest in riling up 4chan. It's better to go back to having nothing to do with them.

Bakuman:
Kosugi, you fucked up. He had his chance to prove himself as an editor, and instead he goes off pulls a stunt like that. Well, PCP will probably wind up crushing them anyway.

Bakuman
If I face-palmed right now my head would cave in. That was just fucking horrible AND the arc is gonna keep going.

Hurray for Hiramaru though.

The Breaker-New Wave:

This series just keep getting shittier with every chapter. Self-righteous translation team doesn't help, either.

Also, you dudes should save my dead thread about manga.

I didn't see the 4chan thread, and I don't understand this situation at all. Why are they complaning about your group doing the SBR scans?
Probably just anons nitpicking.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is my favorite shonen manga.

Started reading Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita so I can complain when Cameron fucks it up (if he ever gets around to it). It's actually pretty awesome. Pretty cliche, but it is 20 years old. The fights have been more enjoyable than I was expecting.

Bakuman

The only good thing about this chapter was the one Hiramaru page. That is all I have to say about this chapter.

I turned in my two weeks at work, so I should be able to FINALLY get back to editing Tetsuwan Girl.

For the past year, I've been heading to school at 7am and don't get back from work until 10pm 5 days a week, so I haven't even been home for anything but sleep. I'm moving during the summer, so I should be able to work on the rest of the manga now. I really didn't think it would take this long, but this situation started just after I took up the project with Lain. Sorry about that.

We don't understand it any more than you do. What I told you is all I know.

I read the second volume of The Five Star Stories and it confused me a bit. I'll have to re read it before starting the third volume. But I'll say, it wasn't cool at all what happened to Uricol.

Yeah it's very confusing, I had to read a lot of it multiple times.

Btw what is your avatar from?

I asked him the same question just a few minutes ago--it's "Becoming a Girl." ShindoL.

e:oh, now it's rotating. Well, that was the one I asked him about.

Yeah, that. It's H though. But the art is so good, ShindoL should do like Ryuta Amazume, Distance, Yui Toshiki, Isutoshi etc... and start making some normal manga too.

Nah those faces he makes are too good for a normal manga :p.

Well, he has a game coming out next week so he is "moving on up" imo.

Remember that ShindoL, or DaHootch, knows the English language and was born in New York City. He usually is very receptive and responds to the fans questions and doubts sent to his e-mail account (dahootch@gmail.com), so you can ask him there about his next projects. In several occasions and after the release of one of his works, 4Chan's /a/ has compiled questions from different users and has sent them to him, and he normally answers them all. He is very friendly.
