Really? After Ueki, the moment he had got a mop of all things in Plus, I was all giddy with excitement to what he'll be able to do with that shitty thing. And he totally delivered.cosmicblizzard said:Ueki Plus 14
This is the reason I love shounen. Awesome, stylish tactical action! I thought Ueki getting a mop that can grab things would be stupid after the awesomeness of turning trash into trees, but it's being used in pretty creative ways.
Yes, it´s pretty good. I love how Nura is taking over his father and grandfather´s mantle.Dresden said:All caught up on Nurarihyon no Mago - the new arc is completely badass.
Regulus Tera said:uh, what's this shit i'm reading about Bardock's fate in Dragon Ball being retconned?
please tell me this is a doujin or something
edit: oh for fuck's sake

So awesome.
Not following you, there...Takao said:Something worse would happen with the Trunks special, which would only become manga canon in the Kanzeban release
Erigu said:Not following you, there...
Yeah, that's what confused me: that special episode was included in both the regular edition and the Kanzenban. And I see no reason to doubt it's always been canonical (or as canonical as something can be in a series that doesn't appear to care much about canon in the first place).Takao said:I was actually confused on something (there are 2 manga versions of "The History of Trunks - one by Toriyama, and the other not). Trunks wasn't a retcon, as his story appeared in "Trunks the Story" in the manga serialization as an "Extra Chapter" not numbered in the story.
Italian as well.Takao said:The Kanzenban (literally "Perfect Edition" IIRC) release of the Dragon Ball manga was released in Japan in 2002/2003 contained new and refined artwork in colour, and a slightly different ending to the series. This version of the manga has only been published in Japanese, French and I want to say Spanish or Portuguese but those two I'm not 100% on.
From here, Mel says: Kubo just tweeted on his twitter account
ネーム送ったら担当から「うっとりしました!」って連呼する返信が来た。うっとりってお前。
Got a reply from my Tantou (A term referring to a person in charge) who I sent the name (rough draft of the up-coming chapter) to saying "I was captivated!".
What does that mean?mugurumakensei said:Bleach
I got this from bleachness.
Beam said:Bleach
What does that mean?
survivor said:It's the reunion of Ichigo and Rukia that will make the fans go crazy for it. Don't why saying "I was captivated" is anything special.
I can´t wait. The color page will be Rukia and Ichigo probably.mugurumakensei said:Well, it means we're probably in for an amazing chapter. This chapter also has a color page so there's that too.
Yeah but it's still a Bleach editor saying this chapter of Bleach is captivating. I don't put too much credibility into what they say about their own manga.mugurumakensei said:Generally, while editors do like to press the writers to putting spotlight on certain characters, it does not make an editor "captivated". Otherwise, the editors would have been captivated with every chapter starring Hitsugaya.
Do you consider Steel Ball Run new?brotkasten said:Any new racing manga out there? I know about Initial D (this one is worse than HxH when it comes to releases and I saw the anime), Over Rev! (should pick it up again, it was funny), Wangan Midnight (saw the anime) and Capeta (nobody picked this one up).
Smiles and Cries said:why is Sket Dance so popular around here? I'm looking for new series to read
upandaway said:Ooooohhhh damn that Shingeki no Kyojin group is gonna go nutters over this. Nutters.
I don't wanna be on their site tomorrow. Hahaha.. ha.
I still somehow hope they'll just shut up about it though. It's not a big deal.
I personally wouldn't have a problem with this as long as there isn't only 1 group putting it out and doing it in a shitty quality.flawfuls said:but with a series as popular as Shingeki no Kyojin it's only a matter of time until somebody starts translating off shitty magazine raws that have been photoshoped to hell and back and that will suck.

BTW in the cover pages there are 2 witches, Hinata and I think Alicia, drawn differently than the rest of the manga. Was it Asano that drew them since they look a lot like his style?
Kreed said:Sket Dance:
Sket Dance is a comedy manga (with some drama). It's a great series if you enjoy comedy and it's very consistent quality wise. If you've read/liked the series Gintama or the comedy portions of Beelzebub you'll probably enjoy Sket Dance.
Not sure what you really mean, I would say it's comedy is more consistant than Beelzebubs. Sket Dance's non comedy bits are a lot less consistant in quality but all of it is at least good.Miri said:Sket Dance really isn't consistent at all. It's highs far outweigh it's lows in impact, but lows it has plenty off. It's no Beelzebub.

Kreed said:Sket Dance:
I can't argue with you about comedy since not everyone will like the same jokes but I disagree about Sket Dance not being consistent. And as much as I like Beelzebub, I have to agree with pieatorium. IMO Beelzebub is the least consistent comedy wise in comparison to Sket Dance and Gintama.
Maybe you should have qouted the guy who brought up the comparisongundamkyoukai said:But that should not matter because beelzebubs is not a comedy manga , it has some jokes like most shonen battle manga and that is all.
No one would call Bleach , FMA , Naruto comedy or care if there jokes are consistent because that's not the main part of the manga .
In fact i would say beelzbubs has nothing in common with SD at all .
SD is more like Gintama without it's awesome battle arcs and cool chars .
pieatorium said:Maybe you should have qouted the guy who brought up the comparison
but we were both responding to ssomone who said the comedy of Beelzebub was more consistant, the fact that its a similar style of comedy is actually true.gundamkyoukai said:I did it was kreed that said if you like comedy parts of beelzebub you would like SD.
I just quoted his second post and yours to save time since the comedy part of beelzebub should not get compare to SD when it comes to consistent.
One is a battle manga the other is a comedy manga .

There was a whole multiplayer fps bit in Beezlebub, SD also has the love comedy and its not really the content of the comedy but how it is delivered.gundamkyoukai said:How are they similar from what i have seen SD makes fun of everything like games , anime, real events etc etc .
Beelzebub has the some love comedy you see in shonen allot and comedy from fighting .
