I know most everyone else has commented on how stupid this chapter was, but yeah... it was pretty stupid. First, indeed, by having all of the major characters be the same exact age that they were before the timeskip, it kind of wastes the point of a timeskip. Second, given that this is Mashima I know that there was no question that they would be coming back, but seriously, it could have been done better than this, and yeah, they came back too fast. It's not exactly suspenseful when the entire original cast returns after just two or three chapters away... was there much point in introducing those new characters when they're now pretty much irrelevant again?

Yeah, that is a good question, and I was wondering too -- how was she there? I assume she had died already, right? Unless she had been alive and on the island but in hiding or something, and then sacrificed herself to save them? I don't know, I don't quite understand that part.upandaway said:

Not related to the manga, but more to the translation. I really hate it when they leave shit untranslated and then write what it means between the panels. That's just lazy and defeats the whole purpose. Like right now there is the word "saeki" and then there is a note that says it's hard to translate, but it means "asshole", "punk" or "bastard".
