Mass Effect, the first one, will finally appear on the PlayStation 3.

A compilation, dubbed the Mass Effect Trilogy, will include all three “award-winning” Mass Effect games in one box. It’ll be available on November 6th this year, for whatever $60 translates to in local money.

The ability to download in digital format is also expected.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Meanwhile, on Wii U.

Fair enough for people who have never played it, but man this feels too little too later. I finished 2 with that bloody comic-thing, so now i'm on 3. Not going to go back to 1 now, especially since I finished that game on PC ages ago.

So yeah. Guess I'll be getting the digital version of ME1 for PS3, considering I already have ME2 and ME3 boxed (despite already owning the trilogy on 360 and PC).

Great. Now Bayonetta 2 threads will become even more unbearable to read.

QUE

I think I may................nah, I have them on PC (minus 3). It's cool for PS3 owners who've backed ME2/3 on PS3 though. I will buy it on PC when it gets to around 10-15USD.

Will it run worse than the 360 version? As far as i know ME2 and ME3 run better on 360, and ME1 was already a mess on 360.

:lol Poor Nintendo-only fans.

Awesome, awesome day. I've wanted to play the trilogy for years, but my PC could barely run ME1 and died when I was a few hours in.

Tokyo Jungle, Starcraft SP, Joe Danger 2 and Mass Effect trilogy announced/released on the same day? I'll take it :p

Now you can experience the soul crushing disappointment from beginning to end. This will unfortunately instill hope for the crazies that want ToV ps3 to be localized.

So microsoft finally let the publishing rights to the first one go?

Wow.

For a timed exclusive it seems. I'm sure Bioware needs the extra time to make sure the PS3 version is up to par. Or it could be but again, MSFT has a timed exclusive deal which makes sense considering the first game launched on their platform.

holy shit ! didn't expect this since MS published this. This gen just keeps on delivering the megatons. Performance on 360 was pretty bad hopefully it's not running on UE3 on PS3.

I'd get it but only if the graphics are good on the PS3 ver., otherwise I'd better settle for PC.

but.. i was done with the series... hmm.

That's pretty awesome - PS3 users can finally play the best game in the series. Interested in seeing what (if any) changes they've made.

Meanwhile, on Wii U.

I love the long standing tradition so many 3rd parties have of fucking up their own releases on Nintendo consoles. ME3 coming up on Wii U? Let's announce a trilogy pack. MGS3 coming up on 3DS? Let's announce a trilogy pack for PS3. etc etc

lol at like 4 threads merging into one.

It's a shame it's not heading to the Wii U, though I guess it makes some form of sense...I think.
