Well, this sucks. DS seems to be losing steam, even with a large shipment of DS Lites. :(

Will the big three pick up in sales, or will DS software sales go down until Christmas?

This is what they get for letting demand sit for 3 months (that's a quarter of a year).

Will English Trainer hit a million by mid-May? It's on a nice pace, and Golden Week is coming up..

When's Nintendo's upcoming series of translation apps coming out? I fear for the charts.

Japan still has Tetris, New SMB and probably a few more training games to help keep the momentum going.

Even still, those games will just be replacements, instead of what should be happening, that Brain Training 1 + 2, ACWW and English Training should still be holding on. I wanted New SMB, Tetris DS and future Brain Trainings to help those four get most of the top ten!

Oh, by the way, Nintendo: Drop ACWW's price to $20.00 and Brain Training's price down to $15. Seriously, if they did that, I guarantee you that they'll sell like monsters yet again.

its funny, because despite wild success in Japan, those games will merely prevent the DS from falling below the PSP in North America - much like what Tetris and MPH did for March. I mean, Mario can really only do so much on his own...

is this sarcasm i really can't tell?

when i look at that chart it appears the the DS is destroying the competition..

WHAAAAT?!?! NOOO! Please tell me you're pulling a cruel joke. I have to know how Mother 3 does. :(

And poor AC. Looks like it's on its last legs. :(

Seriously, Nintendo has to do a Player's Choice on the DS in Japan.

Just imagine:

Mario & Luigi 2, Pokémon Trozei, Animal Crossing WW, Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon Blue, Mario 64 DS, WarioWare Touched, Jam With The Band, Brain Training, Nintendogs, Daredemo, Gentle Brain Exercises, Jump! Superstars, etc.

I bet you that they'd all sell at minimum 10,000 copies, with Mario & Luigi 2 doing >50,000, ACWW dong >300,000, Nintendogs doing >50,000, Gentle Brain Exercises doing > 100,000, etc.

Seriously, a Player's Choice would make Nintendo tons of cash.

Its all over for Nintendo in Japan

Seriously. people in this thread are acting like the DS is going to be terminated by christmas. Give me a break. These games have been on the charts for more than 5 months, and in some cases more than 8 months. That is amazing. The DS is unstoppable. Not even FF can stop Animal crossing. Compare the budgets for both games, and compare how many units each game sold.

December 2006

1. animal crossing: (cook) Delicious Sausages (DS)
2. brain training 3: Develop Telekensis In just Minutes a Day! (DS)
3. English Training: Advanced Grammer Deluxe (DS)
4. brain traing 2 (DS)
5. Brain training (DS)
6. Animal Crossing (DS)
7. English Training (DS)
8. New Super Mario bros. (DS)
9. Tetris (DS)
10. Cook Training Deluxe: Iron Chef Edition (Rev)

With due time. Those games aren't setting the charts on fire, but I'm sure they are selling enough to justify keeping the price the same for now.

Eh, Jam With The Band hasn't been on the top 100 monthly chart in the longest time.

But still, did Nintendo even have a Player's Choice for the GBA other than the February one?

You know a game's sales have been amazing thus far when people note that its sales being around 50K for a week months to a year after it released is seen as kinda low. :lol

Wow. It's possible they could cross 2 million on the same week.

Depends how you look at it. Yeah, the top DS games are still monsters, but each is doing 10-20K lower than last week.

I believe one is a Kanji Dictionary, not 100% if the other one is a non-game. It has something to do with a detective....... is that the Spike game? Ouch.
