Some of you won't like this, but fact is that PSP has sold more software this year than last year in Japan (Jan-Oct). The following graph is based on the Famitsu pie charts and Famitsu numbers by cvxfreak (Dec 04 - Mar 06).

Sure, software sales are higher. But in comparing months 2-11 with months 14-23, the user base increase is more than the software increase. January 2006 having 5 times as many PSPs but a 10% increase in software sales is pretty notable. April - August does show a pretty hefty software increase, though.
