I don't know why Winning Eleven 2009 can't sell to Wii's 8 millions homes. It is a Wiimote enabled game after all.

That seems pretty awful for Growlanser to be honest. I realise it's only a PS1 port and it doesn't have the brand recognition of something like Persona, but I still expected more. All the PS2 games opened at 40-70k.

Still not sure if the Made in Ore "bomba" comments were justified (compared to other Made in Wario games). On one hand, it seems to be holding it's place in the charts firm and probably will do for a long while. But is it only making it because the charts are so low, or is the reason it is low because everything is down including itself, and would it retain its position in any case?

I half expected PSP to turn around the franchises falling sales, rather than sell less than the 6th PS2 game. I suppose that's down to it being a port rather than a new game though, maybe I was being too harsh.

That Powerful Pro Baseball Major League 2009... is that MLB Power Pro 2009 ? If so, when is it coming out in North America ? I have the 2007 and 2008 version and loved the game. Are they gonna be making a yearly edition of that game like all the EA sports games now ?

Also the game is ~1000Y more expensive (6090Y) than your usual psp game (~5040Y).

Persona sells for 5229Y and includes the game soundtrack

Yay! 3000 copies of Takt of Magic! Bring that shit on over Nintendo, like you always do!
:(

For some sort of reference, does anyone have LostMagic's numbers?

Damn you for releasing Winning Eleven Wii so late Konami. It's one of the best sport games I've played this gen. Show it more love damnit.

God, the Japanese market is brutal right now. 41k for the top game? It wasn't that long ago that we were getting 41k for the #10 slot.

I think no one is going outside. Swine Flu.

Wii keeps being a graveyard for bombs, it´s pretty clear the traditional videogames public is not here.

The home console market is totally dead in general, really depressing. My hopes of seeing some kind of reactivation leaded by any system are near to zero. I'll follow with interest the MH3 tri sales and the reaction to a redesigned and probably cheaper ps3 combined with FFXIII (I guess both factors will be close in time), but I'm pessimistic on both fields.

The funniest thing is if they're staying at home they could've been playing their games more often... :lol As it stands they can't go outside to buy them.. :lol

I hope Takt of Magic starts getting the word-of-mouth sales it deserves (I'll be doing my bit). A really nice, polished and unique game.

Everything is a graveyard for bombs right now. No need to single out the Wii.

I agree, but being Wii the leading platform, it has more responsibility. Blue ocean prophecy is killing a lot of business: Chun soft's Shiren 3 and 428, Konami's Winning Eleven, every jRPG up until now, significant part of 1st party offer. I share Acosta's pessimism.

Well, it's a PS1 port with a lot of stuff story content added. But honestly, wasn't expecting it to sell all that much on the first week or two. The games themselves do pretty well overall though.

Sales-Age is dying along with Japanese sales. :lol

This summer can't get here soon enough. (Wii Sports Resort, DQIX, MH3, Pokemon GS remakes)

Wii is the leader platform, so yes, I "need" to single out that. Bigger userbase, bigger responsability on the state of things.

What is the next significant release (for any platform) worth caring about? Low numbers, few worthwhile releases, and unexciting Friday numbers have really killed these threads.

At least backlogs the world over are being given a chance to shrink.
