Is this the first time since it's release that Brain Age 2 hasn't been in the top 10?

General Knowledge 7+ million seller confirmed.

Pokemon still selling nicely and should easily surpass Ruby/Sapphire LTD.

Good. Hopefully Namco will learn that crappy games won't sell just because they're on the DS. Wait...General Knowledge Training is #1...?

Yes. First time no "Brain" game was in the top 10 since BT1, too. That just means that General Knowledge Training has now joined the Brain Training family
, so the streak can continue
. :D

It also had a much higher 1st week total after having a similar 1st day total to Cooking Navi! Another million-seller, here we come! :p

While Common Sense Training is a good step in the right direction, Nintendo needs to hurry up on development of Brain Training III. All of the non-people who bought a DS for the non-games are now suffering a major non-game drought.

I think you change the name every week. :p Can't you just stick with "Kanji Quiz DS"?

No, because another Kanji Quiz game comes out on the 9th. Not a sequel but a game of the same caliber.

But do people who jump into gaming with a non-game actually jump into gaming?

So, that'll be the fourth or fifth Kanji Training game on the DS?

1 - Nintendo
1 - back in July or August
1 - this one
1 - that one

Is there another I'm missing?

That is the major question though. People who bought a DS for Brain Age and the like will probably not be tempted by any of the games besides puzzle or board games... unless they have already played video games in the past. This is probably the same problem with people who bought a DS just for Nintendogs - they won't find Final Fantasy III and Metroid Hunters and the like particularly interesting - which is why Nintendo needs to market more games for this market... Animal Crossing at least is good for this, since it is much more of a traditional game and will attract the Sims fan market, too, but otherwise I don't really see much available for the "non-people", i.e. blue ocean gamers.

Nice to see some more sales pumped into Yakuza. Also surprising that Ace Combat sold so well. Didn't realize the series was popular over there.

Tempest sold more than it deserved. Let's just leave it at that. Expect a huuuuuge drop-off next week from word of mouth.

Gyakuten sales are weak, but then again for the Japanese audience it's an almost identical port of a game they can already buy for <$10 and play on their DS.

FF5s glory was short-lived.

So uh.... are we done using FF3's 'out of stock' excuse, or are we still pretending its reaching 2 million?

Its sort of amazing that DS domination is starting to get boring. No thrills until December now.

Boo! If they didn't separate out Diamond and Pearl, Pocketu Monsutasu would still be sitting at number one. It's deceptive and it also means that Pokemon is taking up two valuable slots in the top ten instead of just one.

Where's the weekly Pokemans chart? Let me see your pokemans charts, let me see them.

By the end of September, Famitsu had it at 772K. By the end of September, Square-Enix had shipped 840K copies to Japan. => 92% sell-through after 6 weeks.

What do you think?
