PS2 sales and GC sales are 50% below what they usually do/did in the last year and a half. PStwo needs to hurry up and Nintendo needs to do something.

As for Microsoft, I feel sorry for them.

I don't think there's been too many Xbox games coming out in Japan recently so they can't be too shocked by the sales. It really shows you how bad off the system is there. It took the PSone around 8 years to start selling as bad as the Xbox is selling now.

That's very true. While Japan isn't the biggest industry out there (it IS #2...), Japanese companies still play huge roles in a system's performance.

The interesting thing with this chart is that half the games are historically ones with legs. Wario, Pokemon FiLe, Mario Mini and Sengoku Musou. It will be interesting seeing how well these hold up in what is coming up to Christmas.

Well the Japanese xmas isn't really flooded like the US one. I mean you can pretty much assume the charts will be something like this:

#1 DQ8
#2 GT4
#3 maybe, maybe MGS3 for a few weeks (MGS2 did like 800k)
#4 ToR (though it may switch with MGS3)
#5 Everything else that's so small it won't matter (VJ2, Outrun2, all Nintendo DS stuff, WE8, Sengoku, etc..).

Halo2 will be off the charts by then, and I really don't think DS has the lineup or hype to boost it into the top4. Nothing major is coming for GBA, and the top4 are the only big PS2 releases in Dec.

I think its possible that Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories could be sitting in the top 5 for awhile. KH and KH Final Mix both did.

Maybe. I think the card-based thing + meh graphics (fmv aside) is going to keep it from going too high. Plus it comes out 11/11 so if it's still there around xmas, it'll be in the bottom spots.

Lol 173! I think this is new record, but then again Kasumi Blue Xbox should be out next week or no? The only chance for a Xbox outselling GC at least for a week there.
