I'm actually really impressed that SimCity DS 2 has stayed up there for so long - I don't really remember many EA titles staying so high up on the charts that long. Probably one of EA's most successful games in Japan...

The first one sold very well, too, so I imagine we'll keep seeing a new one every year. It's too bad all the other EA Japan titles bombed (like Populous).

Do Japanese players buy these portable games like they're super cheap or what? For how many spots they take on the charts, it would seem impossible that anyone is actually playing through any of these. Is it normal to buy 2 portable games a week or what?

They should make orochi2 this for the ps3/xbox360.
They already tried an Orochi for the 360. It sold 6K. The PS2 Orochi from last year hit 650K. No PS3 game, including much bigger franchises than an Orochi game, have broken 400K, yet. I'd say that PS3/360 isn't really a good option for them. :lol
