Impressive legs for Super Paper Mario. I really didn't expect to do this well at this point.

And BBA selling an increasing number of units reminds me of the first BT. I think it debuted at something like 45k...

Now, why didn't chess create this topic? I miss his data overload >_< (don't hate me cvxfreak)

85000 Wii Sports = Uh Oh right?

I can't belive how poorly FFXII is doing, even if it does suck. Doesn't bode too well for FF vs XIII if it's not as good as the main game.

In a matter of weeks, Nintendo will have its best selling console game since Mario Kart 64 a decade a go. Its Wii launch title will have outsold all N64 games.

I want it to come out in the US so badly but I fear the localization :(
Well, they are getting new voices for the American dub soon, so maybe it wont be so bad.

I think the original BT at one point after it came out had this slow crawl where it would outsell its previous week in its first month on the sales chart. I should go back to that years chart quick...

Looks like Wii's Big Brain Academy is completely fitting into the Touch Generations category - now that it sold more in its 2nd week than 1st.

This really demonstrates how this is an industry of inertia. Once a platform (or platforms in Nintendo's fortunate case) takes the lead, the lead only gets wider there on out. I think the hypothetical situation of the videogame market install base evenly split is impossible.

With all those negative feedbacks on NeoGAF, one must wonder if Yoshi Island DS Japanese version is a completey different game. Look at those numbers!

5,000,000 in 4 months?????

BELIEVE IT!

I wonder if it may surpass Diamond and Pearl if DP continue to fall. But I don't expect NSMB to beat the collective Pokemon (D/P/probable third game).

Exactly. And another common trend is that whatever happens in Japan, macro-wise tend to filter out to the rest of the world, even if a year late. DS vs PSP in the western world was close, in fact, PSP had a legit chance of winning in the USA, but the DS still pulled away and never looked back. I think the Wii as a worldwide market leader, even surpassing PS3 and 360 install base combined twice over, is now a very probable reality more than ever.

I'll really be pissed if SE pissses on the Wii this Saturday.

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.
Observations..

Revenant Wings took a big dip..doesn't look like much legs there

SPM showing great legs so far, as is BBA. As I said earlier, I think its possible BBA is a huge success-shares a lot of traits with Wii Sports and Play.

And regarding hardware- if the Wii Sports correlation holds true, that would mean about 150K Wii sales. Seems a bit high since the famitsu estimate was what, 80k?

I think it will be more like 120K, with SPM and BBA getting some of the new owners as well.

Just amazing.

The war is over
