This thread needs some LTD numbers. Someone!
YTD/LTD
NDS - 351,802/5,998,754
PSP - 310,253/2,978,481
NDS Lead - 41,549/3,020,273

A translation would be nice, but it looks likes Monster Hunter has some strong legs. Not bad opening for Siren 2.

English Training just might hit that sweet 1 million mark. 2 million of AC is certain now and possibly for both Brain Training games.

Oh man, どうつの森 and ツーリスロフィー are selling amazingly! They've almost caught up with ???????.
Edit: Aww, fixed. Well, Sony's creeping back into the software charts - not seen that many in a while.

You'd think that with English Training being on the top of the charts, we'd be getting actual english written titles in the charts and not question marks.

Are sales charts covered in the Training games?

So, people, anyone wanna bet that the entire top ten will be DS games at the DS Lite launch?

With Seiken Densetsu Child of Mana, Uncharted Waters, Doraemon DS all launching as well on the same day, I wouldn't be surprised.

Why would anyone bet that? I expect Gundam, Megaman, and VP to show up as well.

Thats performing horribly :(

In some ways it's suprising in others it's not. Yes it's from the makers of the popular Gran Turismo series, on the other hand, motorbikes don't have that hold on the popular imagination that cars have.

Nah. I expect Brain Training, Brain Training 2, English Training, Gentle Brain Exercises and Animal Crossing: Wild World to be on the top ten, along with Mario Kart DS, Children of Mana, Doraemon and others.

I seriously did not expect the English Training game to do this well. Apparently Nintendo can do no wrong in Japan.

Brain Training 2 is already close to outselling the first one. Wow..just wow.

Animal Crossing's legs are insane. It was really the perfect handheld game for Japan, and they have turned the series into a blockbuster. I bet you Nintendo is putting even more resources into AC Revolution now. Could it be a Japanese launch title?

Well since you never know with PSP games in Japan, maybe you can say VP and Megaman will not show up (which would be a damn shame), but to say Gundam won't show up is crazy.

One would have said the same about Winning Eleven. It may have shown up (I do not know or remember), but not only are PSP games largely less popular than their siblings on other systems, but it's coming up against the DS Lite.

I really do think AC is perfect as a portable game. As a "life simulator", it just doesn't feel right playing the game while sitting on the couch looking up at a television screen. It's like it was meant to portable and to take it with you anywhere. Plus, I find it alot more interactive than the GC version. I love making patterns in the game from various other games and putting them on the ground. :) I actually regret the possibility of Nintendo making another console version.

Anyway, sorry for derailing the thread. :/

NDS am cry.

DS shortages FTL. That's easily it's lowest selling week ever. But you would never guess it from the software sales. My guess is people who don't even have a DS yet are buying the games now. Animal Crossing has nearly a 1:3 ratio with DS systems sold in Japan.

Decent amount of sales for Siren 2. Game deserves a bit more, but it doesn't seem like it was particularly high budget so they're probably breaking even.

Based on the DS titles in the top 10 and the number of systems sold, the system has a 26.56:1 tie ratio. :lol

And is the reason for the 10k because they just aren't shipping anymore of the regular DS or are people just waiting while the regular DS's are sitting on shelves?

WTF, Ds sales are too low. It cant be a shortage anymore, people waiting for the Lite?

However, further down the chart, where the real battles rage...

6. GC: 2,025 (30,577) WIN!
7. Xbox360: 1,288 (22,657) LOSE

8. GBA: 150 (1478) WIN!
9. Xbox: 84 (671). LOSE

I think it was mentioned in the thread the week the DS sold over 100k, that shipments had stopped for 2 weeks because of Chinese New Year.

MHP legs are very impressive, it just keeps going and going. Surely the biggest seller now for the PSP.

Poor bunny :(

The numbers are low because of supply problems. You only have to look at auction prices to see that. Besides, most people hadn't even heard of the DSlite last week.

I still don't understand why the Japanese love that brain-learning software. Unless it is a fad that dies it will continue to separate Japanese gamers interest and the rest of the world.

I mean....c'mon. That stuff will NEVER sell over here.
