Man, a lot of PlayStation titles in the top five. And nice numbers for Ring of Fates. How have the reviews for that game been so far? I found the GameCube title pretty dull and I'm hoping this one will have a lot more to it.

Wow, I got on the first page. Wii Play and Sports numbers are lower again. Probably a low shipping week for Wii consoles.

We're looking at some low Wii sales this week. I guess MS's pricedrop really spooked Nintendo.
Famitsu have it at 48k.
What's really going on?
Low demand or low shipments?
Does GAF have a consensus on that already?

And i guess Mario Party is eating some Wii Sports sales...

Aren't they diverting shipments from Japan to Europe and NA?

WTF @ Bladestorm

How Japan manages to eat this shit up and completely overlook Folks Soul is completely beyond me.

Shipments are being diverted from Japan to boost U.S. sales. As such, we're seeing lower sales in Japan.

That's the way I understood it, anyway. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The drop off is pretty significant for it to be lack of interest. I think most agree shipments have been lowered in japan while boosted in Europe and America. There could also be an increased panic over holiday stock with more being held back.

M-create's FFCC:ROF is higher than Famitsu's (79K vs 77K), while M-create's Bladestorm is lower than Famitsu's (59K vs 63K).

Still, it is a good first week sales for Bladestorm.

That's what Pachter told us... I really don't believe him.. Because he said that based on 400k last month.. But last month Japan was fine.

schuelma

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.

Yeah..I mean I don't think its lowered demand, but I'd like to hear some Japanese GAFers comfirm it.

I'd guess if they're diverting shipments to the US for Metroid, we should expect Japanese sales to bounce back somewhat next week given that there aren't any big releases in the US till end of October/beginning of November.

MC is Nintendo biased. Everyone knows that.

Wait, DS Summon Night? I loved the two US-released GBA games... even though it's probably unlikely, it'd be awesome if it comes out in the US.

... heh, the site has some little mouse-based minigames (fighting monsters) presumably showing off the game system... :)

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Go! Uh... FF:CC-RoF I guess?

That's because MC had much lower numbers for FF:CC-RoF last week.

I'd love it if it did, but since the third GBA game hasn't (and presumably won't at this point) left Japan, I'm not holding my breath.

Hard to say shipments will resume to norms simply because Europe has gotten wii fever bad. USA/Europe had the biggest Sales potentials in the long run so its important for Nintendo to keep supply going there. Japan they have wrapped up so they can string it along more then they can the other regions.

When production increases japan could see a rise again but it may settle in the range its at currently for awhile due to diverting stock and extra stockpiling. Nintendo has alot of heavy guns to slam worldwide in a very short period of time.

Man, going to be some very low Wii sales this week. Really hope Nintendo have got enough of those things ready for the impending holiday stampede. Its going to be ugly in all territories

I`m not too sure about that actually. I`m in Fukuoka, and wii`s are available just about everywhere. I could go pick one up right now if I wanted to.

one of the longest freaking demoes i have ever played in a good way^^

It baffles me that Pokemon Pearl is off the list and Diamond is about to go with it, yet Animal Crossing has not fallen off.

We can only blame one thing for these low Wii numbers:
Wii Fit.

Wasn't last Vinnk's report saying the same?
