He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Congrats Level 5, Inazuma Eleven 2 has now gone beyond the highest expected.

How many days of sale does this count for BBS?

Also how does it compare to KH1/2? And how about for Crisis Core and Dissidia?

Kingdom Hearts (PS2) --- 411,492 / 838,323
Kingdom Hearts II (PS2) --- 737,652 / 1,129,196

Don't have CC/Dissidia numbers on me but I think it did less than both by a bit.

Edit: ToG in the Top 30 lol. 9k week maybe?

Past Kingdom Hearts debuts (Famitsu):

Kingdom Hearts II: 916,569 / 1,197,349 (2 week holiday period)
Kingdom Hearts: 411,492 / 840,497
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days: 291,211 / 522,260
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories: 173,828 / 342,341
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix: 163,688 / 358,130
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+: 182,162 / 337,091

Birth by Sleep doesn't look like it will make 1 Million, as we saw with Dissidia.

Crisis Core debuted with 487k.
Dissidia started at 489k.
Did CC and Dissidia have only 2 days of sales in their respective first weeks too?

I'm sure BbS could sell over 490k in its first 4 or 5 days.

I don't see why S-E didn't release BbS on Thursday. Did they think it'd debut higher than Crisis Core and Dissidia despite having 2 days less on the market?

They probably think it'll be really frontloaded...

I would hope Square Enix's marketing decisions aren't decided solely on getting a higher place on said week's media create chart.

Hopefully this causes a boost with other PSP software for a little while.

Looks like FFXIII might make it to 2 million after all, provided the shipment out there is big enough. It's going to take it a while to crawl there, and there is definitely no shortage of it in the second hand shops, but overall, I'd say it's done well for itself.

Somehow I don't think Hero of Legend's 16,000 prediction for Tales of Graces is going to come true.

I never said that this week would be that much, that was my assumption of last week's sales.

After the Famitsu Top 26 (or assumed numbers?) for just last week was posted, the 26th game only sold about 14,000, so maybe Graces was 13,000-13,500.

But you never expected it to still be where it's at in this week's chart now did you?

I don't know why people were expecting Birth by Sleep to do what Dissidia and Crisis Core failed to do. Whether it's the PS2, DS or GBA, we've consistently seen FF games sell above KH games.

BbS had a fantastic debut, though. Can't deny that.

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Graces is totally going to match ToS2! And uh, without even being a sequel. That spells s-u-c-c-e-s-s-!

Yay @ BbS, give us a home console KH now, Nomura. :( Wii/PS3 have both pretty much proved that they can still hold their own when it comes to the biggest franchises at least, so do it!

Ah I see.

But its placement on the chart is meaningless; what's important is its sales

You haven't been paying attention to Famitsu's charts, it seems.
Ah, did I miss something? I would love to be enlighten.

I'm surprised at NSMBW's number. Are there still supply issues?

As for FFXIII, it will most certainly pass the two million mark with the inevitable International release.

I mentioned it in the Top 100 thread, but Graces' 2009 YTD was about 177,000. It failed to make the Top 30 for the combined two-week period, the lowest game selling a little over 30,000. But that doesn't mean it didn't sell a substantial amount, especially seeing where it charted on MC's charts.

So, you're speaking way too soon with way too much confidence on where Graces will end up.

something something Japan something something Used games

*Note: I actually think it'll crawl just past the 2 million mark. Square Enix will probably force it to if only for PR bragging rights.

Well that's a completely different discussion (and even then not a done deal). Several people said the vanilla version would pass 2 mil in the last thread, that's all.

I hope FFXIII can sell 2 Million given Amazon JP is selling it at a 28% discount. Not that it really needs to, I think. FFXIII proved to us how 2nd place platforms and first tier 3rd party series mix, and the results are favorable.

But isn't that unknown week's sales likely in the teens based on the MC charts? Perhaps the same with this weeks? I mean 200,000 is one thing but can the game really crawl past 212,000? Did it even ship that much?

As far as I can recall, it shipped between 200k and 210k, so no, I doubt it will be going anywhere past 212k.

For all the people laughing at either side of the "FFXIII 2 million - will it/won't it?" debate, you should probably keep it to yourselves. At this point it really could go either way.

Mario will reach 4m by March I believe, what do you guys think of the possibility of Tomodachi reaching 4m in the long run?
