I wonder if Level 5 will send Inazuma Eleven Break to die by releasing it alongside the movie.
Guess people just aren't content with annual releases anymore.

That's what you get from that picture more than IE3.

There should be 100K in the wild if Famitsu is to be believed ( without counting used copies ).

I should pick up a JP copy of MHTri at that price... A friend told me that there are even controller bundles going for 980¥... hmm...

Waiting scans for 501-1000.
Comgnet confuses people even with the notice I have. I won't post it again. If someone wants to see it he can visit the site.

Yeah, I think that's what we said the last time. Most casual posters in these threads won't know the difference and will think they are actual sales figures. There isn't very much to discuss anyway when the only thing we can draw from the chart is a general sales trend for a single chain of stores. :/

Famitsu has updated with the Top 10 but the page doesn't work

http://www.famitsu.com/game/rank/sokuho/1238478_1796.html

Project Diva 2 is the top selling game.

Edit

It works now

1. [PSP] Project Diva 2nd (Sega)
2. [PS3] Sengoku BASARA 3 (Capcom)

3. [Wii] Wii Party (Nintendo)
4. [NDS] Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride Card Battle Taisen (Namco Bandai)
5. [Wii] Sengoku BASARA 3 (Capcom)
6. [NDS] Metal Max 3 (Kadokawa Shoten)
7. [PSP] Ys VS Sora no Kiseki (Falcom)

8. [NDS] Inazuma Eleven 3 (Level 5)
9. [Wii] Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Victory (Square Enix)
10. [PS3] Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 2010 (Konami)

Famitsu compares first weeks:

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2 sales far exceeded the sales of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva.
Sengoku Basara 3 outperformed previous series.

I am really stunned that Project Diva 2 outsold the PS3 version of Sengoku Basara 3.

Yay re: Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki! I hope the numbers are good. Any support for Falcom is good in my books :)

I'm not surprised by Project Diva 2's performance. When I was in Japan 7 weeks ago (!) there was already a large amount of in-store ads for that game (which did surprise me back then).

I don't think Diva crossed 200k. It's more likely that it's either at 150k or over the 150k mark. Basara 3 PS3 is probably 120-150k, with the Wii release possibly pushing it over 200k combined.

Basara 1 PS2 - 85,575 FW
Basara 2 PS2 - 137,199 FW
Basara 2 Heroes PS2 - 93,513 FW
Basara Battle Heroes PSP - 88,051 FW

Diva 1 PSP - 101,486 FW

Not very surprising at all when you look at that.

Famitsu says that a lot of new users bought BASARA 3 thanks to the anime that debuted in July.

I wonder if those are the people who bought the Wii version, as opposed to the series veterans who already have PS3s because of the Musou series or whatnot.

Maybe the MC blurb will have something on it. They sometimes throw in information like that.

Fate/Extra sold pretty well. Wondering about the reviews now.

It will be the best-selling Marvelous game since 2008, and the only one above 100,000 outside of the Harvest Moon series :lol

Good for Capcom. Maybe they can afford to put online in the sequel and not let everything about the game be held down by the 50k selling Wii version.

The PS3 to Wii 5:1 ratio isn't the most shocking thing. The most shocking thing is that the PS3 version alone, sold 2x what Sengoku Basara 2 sold in the first week on the PS2. The combined sales of PS3+Wii puts Sengoku Basara 3's first week above the LTD of Sengoku Basara 2. It is now instantly the best selling Sengoku Basara game ever.

Question, what is Basara, exactly?

If it's nerdy enough, the difference in sales could be due to the Wii version being deemed the inferior version among fans.

It's a mainstream xxx yyy xxx game

Sengoku Basara is basically a Musou game with more bombastic Capcom style character designs and a ton of pretty boys for horny female fans.
