Well, I'm not going to waste hours searching in sales archives. It was just a simple question, and if someone happened to know it he or she could've answered it with a simple yes or no.
If you actually bothered to take a look at the links you would find them within minutes not hours.

Anyone know how Atelier Totori is doing compared to other games in the series?
It did better than Rorona FW (which was 47k), but since usually sales get more front-loaded with sequels on the same platform I'd have liked it to do a bit more. On the other hand, I believe 54k is the best FW for any Atelier game since the PS1 era, so maybe one shouldn't be too greedy.

Let's try this, all of Gust's more successful games over the past 10 years (self published only, so no AT):

(This is still missing Rorona's Top500 number, which was 77k)

What is this, "The Best" version of Project DIVA? If so, very nice sales, guess the "Dreamy Theater" keikaku worked out.

Looks like Monster Hunter did pretty well for itself in the end. Wonder what the dropoff will be next week. It does come with a year of gold, so it's a pretty damn good deal if you're looking to resub anyway...MS should just bundle copies of the game with gold like they used to with some arcade titles...

Why are you so defensive over this?

I was just asking a random question. The Sales Age community is known for giving deep analyses on weekly sales. I remember PantherLotus giving a weekly report where he compares all possible hardware data with earlier numbers, attach ratio's, LTDs, YTDs, amusing little facts, providing a bigger picture, and what not. And PL hardly is the only gaffer that does/did it. God knows how they do it (probably spread sheets and many hours of analysis), but they always find their info very fast, or even know it by heart. Many people, including me, really enjoy and appreciate you guys efforts. Now, I just asked a simple question out of curiosity. It's not even a detail. I wanted to see if someone knows of a 360>PS3>Wii week, which would a pretty big and memorable occurrence. So perhaps some sales ager knows this by heart or has some data at hand. And now suddenly I asked too much? I'm a lazy twat and get the "fucking google it yourself" treatment? Okay...

To be fair Chris wasn't that harsh. Also they are just pointing out that it wouldn't take long to find and several people have taken time out to make the sale age threads and keeps the numbers as precise and up to date as they can.

So it is understandable why one of the most common members of it would suggest you check out the numbers so you can see for yourself.

Don't think anyone cares about "games" they're not interested in. :p

Heh, fair enough. I know it's very early, but I wonder how far the title can go - it seems to fill a niche that no other title has to date (I can't think of any other instructional software like that, apart from Cooking Navi) and it could carry on turning over reasonable numbers week by week for a while.

The Xenoblade drop-off looks big in placement, but I think the hard numbers might actually put it close around 10k which wouldn't be too bad. I think 150k is within reach - hardly record-breaking, but reasonable.

The hell is that top. I want a legit Famitsu leak dammit. I can't even do predictions results without Bokunatsu P2 numbers. Now I'll have to use Dengeki-watchout-inflated-reality numbers.

Now we have to wait like a week to know if Famitsu went to an altered reality to count sales or I just lost precious minutes putting up a totally bogus 1st day post :/

Xenoblade is probably at about 10-12k at that spot. The Winning Eleven games seem to have stabilized at 12-13k right now during the World Cup, and Friend Collection is doing 12-13k at this period as well.

Wow, is it finally about to drop off the charts? Or at least top 30?

Perhaps I misread his post.

But I still find it weird that in a thread where you can ask for the littlest detail of sales info, my simple request gets redirected to the sales database. I didn't ask for the specific sales of game X in week 2, 9 and 25 you know. I didn't even ask numbers. :) I mean, afaik I should first have to find out which console came out last on the market, then find the launch week of said console, and from there on out click on every weekly thread to check and compare the three consoles. Unless I'm missing something, that means I'll have to check tens (>100 ?) threads just for a simple question that I'm sure some people know the answer to by heart. I don't want anyone to bother looking in the database. I was just asking if somebody know what I asked without having to look to the sales themselves. It was a simple question, I'm not about to spend a lot of time finding the answer, and I don't want others to do it for me either.

But I'll stop here, because I'm sure I'm already perceived as a whiner at this point. :p

If I remember correctly it was around Sep-Oct 2008 but I was thinking it only outsold Wii on the Famitsu chart by a small margin but maybe I'm mixing the two up. It was definitely late 2008 though.

Edit: This is the time I was thinking of:

Thanks.

I checked your "late 2008" suggestion and was just gonna post the very same thread, but you edited your post to include it as well. :)

There might just be one more recently that actually fits your 360>PS3>Wii scenario but I've been too busy to read the threads this year

I wonder if cvxfreak noticed any queues or extra excitement at stores today given the launch of Inazuma Eleven 3.

Yeah, souldriver you overreacted. However not sure why people decided to reply with do it yourself, when they know the data by heart:

Here you go

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=353588

Star ocean 4 launch week, there could be other ones, but this one I instantly remember.

__

As for MHF,

This number puts it at no.4 of all time first week on 360

1. Star Ocean 4 166,027
2. Last remnant 102,107
3 Tales of Vespia 101,272
4. MHF
5. Infinite discovery 86,708
6. blue dragon 82,286

And also puts it at no.15 all time sellers on 360

Because there are no weekly PAL sales numbers.
but it does use to give some fairly good idea about the sales of a title and if its hit or a miss.. and having one thread for all pal is not a lot either.

It seemed impossible, but maybe Super Mario Galaxy 2 is eating sales from New Super Mario Bros Wii after all...

Didn't visit any stores today, sorry. :(

IE3 will undoubtedly be huge, though. I just hope Japan wasn't too deflated by the WC loss to Paraguay.

Doesn't seem that way at all. Most people following it (even those outside of Japan) are really proud of the Japanese team for having gone that far. Losing on penalty kicks isn't that horrible either. It was a really boring match, but the team didn't fail or embarrass themselves in the end.

Some teams leave the tournament with their heads held high, others.... not so much. It all depends on how they actually performed during the tournament. :)
