Holy hell at NSMB climb. I wonder if NSMB Wii will push it up even further after the release.

Could you imagine if NSMB was actually in the top ten again? Could NSMB Wii cause that to happen?

Wow, that's a pretty slow start for a Naruto game.
Is it a port or something?

I'm not sure, but I think it's a beat'em up (not a fighting game) based on the next movie or with an alternative story. (nothing manga related) It's not part of the EX series.

Launch day for NSMB should be fun... but the lines!

Everywhere you go, people... crowds. The games are great, but... all the lines, lines, LINES! If there's one thing I hate it's all the lines, lines, lines, LINES!! And then there get to be so many people that they make FastPass. So then there's lines for FastPass. You stand in line to get a ticket to stand in line later. Then there's lines for the bathrooms, lines for the drinks, lines for cantakuras and rare kartankulas plinks!

The franchise (at least on Wii) has been steadily declining.
The previous entry (which was a fighting game) debuted at 15.7k a year ago.

Wasn't in last weeks top 10.

I figured as much, but neither was Wii Fit Plus, but that had a percentage and was listed as being at #13 last week.

But then I see Chris1964 fixed that little error too :D

donny sent me an automated file for last week rankings and percentage difference but I didn't have time to check it yesterday. I did it manually this week thus the error.

Oh, not a problem, and I wasn't really blaming you, just explaining my own confusion. Thanks for posting the numbers.

Maybe this is a bit off-topic and maybe it has already been answered earlier (but i havnt seen it at least), but what is the reason for that New Super Mario Bros Wii gets released in Japan after it was released in Europe and in USA?

The holiday situation in the different areas is different. Could be that they are releasing the game in each territory at what they consider the "prime" release time for that territory.

That reasoning seems very plausible. November and December are the two biggest months for US. December and January are the two biggest months for Japan. Not sure about Europe, but I imagine it's the same as US?

It's not unusual for a Mario game to be released in Japan following other territories.
This was the case with Mario Party 8, Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros, and probably some more.

Man, I wish Level 5 and Nintendo would work on bringing their games over here sooner. Heartbreaking to see Inazuma Eleven 2 and Layton 4.

It's amazing how slow Level 5 is in localization. It's no surprise they've never had a real hit in the West

Well, at least we're actually getting Inazuma with anime series push and everything. Or well, Europe is.

Yeah, TBA. While Japan is already playing the damn sequel.

It seriously feels like the fucking 90s with Level 5's localisation.

The two Laytons are great hits, no?

The Layton games are huge in Europe.

The first one is somewhere between 600k and 1000k in the UK alone. I think the second just crossed the 200k threshold.

Gotcha, thanks.

There's a part of me that's hoping, illogical against all odds hope, that sales of REDSC may spurr Capcom to make a genuine RE. I know I'm reaching here. But heck, I've been playing the shit outta REDSC and loving it to boot, if they make yet another light gun game, I'll buy.

How did I manage to mess the new releases so much? Last time I translate from work. They had errors with Pokemon and Armored Core.

At least 10 new games will chart over it. If you count and the continued sales of older games unless it gets a big boost it won't make neither the top 20.

BowieZ said:

New super mario bros wii (Wii)
Samurai warriors 3 (Wii)
Phantasy star portable 2 (PSP)
Gundam vs. gundam next (PSP)
Tokimeki Memorial 4 (PSP)
Power pro pocket 12 (DS)
Assassin's Creed II (PS3)

add to this list some games such as Pokemon G/S, Tomodachi Collection, the new Layton game and Wii Fit Plus and you'll realize how many games will be above NSMB in the next chart

Hehe It happens. Work was exactly the reason I couldn't translate at the time.

Thanks.
