So can we declare the Final Fantasy brand dead in terms of spin-off unrelated to main series games?

Also: :lol :lol :lol :lol

Should have called the game FF7: Crystal Bearers.

The legs on this game just keep going. I know there are probably games which have had far better legs than this but i don't feel like i can remember many games staying this high for so long.

Has there been any other games that have stayed so high for so long? I'm thinking probably brain training, NSMB or MKDS but i don't really remember.

The DS really isn't selling that well at the moment. Will be interesting to see if it sells better over the holidays.

Well, that about does it. At least in Japan, the PSP GO is Sony's Gameboy Micro.

GBM had a first week of 170K and a LTD of 587K. PSPgo's first shipment was 150K, and it's sold ~50K of that in its first three weeks.

DSiLL launches this week, IIRC. The DSi has been down since its announcement.

Well, so much for 3D Dot Game Heroes being a long burner :\ That would mean it sold less that 7K, which is how much DBZ sold on the 360.

6600 Gos huh. ~14% of total PSP sales. For a DD device that isn't THAT bad. It still managed to beat out a few other devices.. :lol

It's a tragedy but i'm thankful the game was even made in the first place. This is a game that i'm devoted to buying day one even if I don't have a PS3 yet when it launches in NA.

I doubt the DSi LL will make as much of a splash as a new revision, or perhaps even a new colour. It's positioned to sell side-by-side with the DSi to a specific market, and will probably sell very few LTD in comparison to the DSi (though many who will buy it may have not bought a DSi otherwise).

Not to say it won't have a relatively strong opening week, but I don't think it's going to do a whole lot to strengthen DS sales as a whole in the long-run.

It should outsell the Go at least. For the greater good.

Well Go could still reach 500k eventually - look at XBox.

Granted if PSP2 is really only a year away, it'll be Go that gets axed first, not the X000 series. They only need one premium DD device in the market.

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol
Sad to see Monster Hunter Tri already off the top 30. :( Has it reached a million yet? Last time I checked it was close.

And DAMN, Tomodachi Collection. C'mon Nintendo, localize that and release it over here. You do like money, don't you?

Unlike the Xbox, it is not a unique system on its own. The PSP2 isn't coming out next year, but the PSP-3000 will stay around until the PSP-4000 hits. The PSP Go isn't going anywhere. For the holiday season in December, Sony is now pushing new PSP-3000 bundles in Japan. The Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep LE PSP in Jan is also a PSP-3000. It's pretty much over for the PSP Go. :p

I'd almost feel bad for the Go, except for the fact it's the biggest piece of anti-consumer crap to come our way since SecureROM or those Sony Rootkits on music CDs.

I'm pretty sure they've entirely given up on the Japanese market.

They haven't even pretended to make an effort since Star Ocean 4. It seems that when they switched the division's goal to profitability they refocused all their efforts on the West and Natal.

It's outselling the 360 now, but the 360 is almost at 1 million units sold in Japan! MS has something to feel happy for! Maybe! :lol

I was making a joke - it took XBox 4 years to crawl to 500k, Go doesn't have that long on the market, even if it was doing great.

No it doesn't. If Sony wants a DD-only device they can jolly well not half-arse it next time.

The machine itself is a thing of beauty, Sony on the other hand hasn't done much for it.
