I thought both PS3 and 3DS SKUs would have sold less, and PS3 SKU sold waaaaaaay more than what I expected. Still, considering how this is not a main chapter, 3DS almost 2x WE2014 debut is a sign of growth.

May has been terrible this year. Few releases and most of them have been really niche.

Last year we got some mid-tier stuff... like Resident Evil: Revelations (for homeconsoles), SMT4 and Summon Night and there were some 3DS games with great legs (like Luigi, Animal Crossing and Friend Collection).

This year has been quite depresing.

Hope June gets better...

Poor brave dedicated consoles fighting for scraps.

And those PES numbers are dreadful.

Agreed. The real battle for the Japan's video game industry is fought between Puzzle & Dragons and Monster Strike fighting for the no 1 Top Grossing position.

The numbers are TERRIBLE for every plattform.

Indeed. I expected a fair boost for Wii U in preparation for Mario Kart 8 coming this week. I'm doubting it will do much above 20k next week based on this (and I don't think they have a MK8/Wii U hardware bundle in Japan).
