I think the reason Taiko Wii sold more than 100k is because the console attracted many casual customers at that time, and Taiko is one of those games that suit them, easy to pick up and play.
I could be wrong though
it looks like 3ds versions suffered a bit due to psp/psv versions but i dont think that mattered much, the general pattern is big numbers for the initial version(s) and then later iterations on the same console drop in sales dramatically
are u trying to compare switch mh numbers? then you'll wanna look at mh3 3ds sales weekone question, how many total 3ds units were sold up until a week before Monster Hunter 4 launch?
switch will be at roughly half or at most 2/3 the install base by the time mh arrives
