yup, 3DS only needed some good games

Grimmy said:It needs a lot more of those now though. After Zelda, there's only Tales of the Abyss and Star Fox 64 to prop it up for the whole summer.

Glad to hear they're all doing wellChris1964 said:Retailers say it does with adults being the primary buying market for the game.
Also Litttle Battlers and Steins;Gate seem to do rather well.

I'm surprised this one is doing so good lately, moving a steady amount each week without any major MGS release that bumps interest (in fact one could say the HD collection announcement could have hurt it).Chris1964 said:22. / 22. In Japan the HD Collection is just MGS2&3, Peace Walker is it's own separate HD release. The transfarring announcement might've helped it too.Kurosaki Ichigo said:I'm surprised this one is doing so good lately, moving a steady amount each week without any major MGS release that bumps interest (in fact one could say the HD collection announcement could have hurt it).

Also surprising because the original release had trouble (pricedrop) to sell the remaining 100k of its 800k launch shipment. But it went on to sell that remaining stock, and didn't lose that much value, because this budget 3k yen release still happened and its doing pretty good. Nice comeback so to speak.

Woah! Did not know that, sort of a genius move. Does the 360 version come with anything extra?Spiegel said:Peace Walker HD comes with a free psp version.

Spiegel beated me. You get a copy with that, or you get it online (to use with Vita), or you get it on 360 where there's no transfarring. Doesn't really benefit the UMD version here.lunchwithyuzo said:In Japan the HD Collection is just MGS2&3, Peace Walker is it's own separate HD release. Being a top pick is not surprising, going from bomb status to budget re-release legs is. Normally when the original release faces overshipping and pricedrops, you don't do a budget re-release or it does little, as the value is lower or the remaining copies are still there. PW cleared those copies and the value didn't went down, the original was 5k and this budget edition is 3k and doing fine.Acosta said:Is that surprising? PSP has been dominating sales for weeks, and among the new users I guess there are people who had a potential interest on it (it´s one of the best games of the system after all, and it even has some winks to the Monster Hunter crew.)
Yeah true. MS is probably happy to be getting MGS games at all.Takao said:It will sell no more than 15k no matter what. So it's probably a no.

Probably.
Don't worry, it'll get localized. I mean, it's not a Nintendo or Namco game.Takao said:Well, at least on 3DS it has a chance of being localized, and enjoying some form of success.

I agree. Granted it is a remake of a game that's widely regarded as one of the best games of all times.Cygnus X-1 said:Considering it's a remake, it's pretty impressive. Is the game driving a bit the hardware?
