Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

Anyone can say how Fatal Frame did?

47,458.

If we try a cross-tracker estimate, by combining it with Famitsu's digital sales estimate (4,972), it'd be at 52,430. But cross-tracker estimates aren't the most accurate estimates.

I would definately not write off another bump as 5 nears.

A best version has been released earlier this year, it showed up a few times in MC top 50 already, with both SKU it should easily surpass the 350k mark and may end up closer to 400k at retail by the end of the year.

I wonder, how well does Splatoon sales compare to the rest of Nintendo's IPs during their first month (of being a new IP)? I imagine it must be up there.

When will we start crowd funding that new EeV atosecond pulsed, hydrogen fusion capable laser system Media Create Mystery Box? I hear it has a lot of photons sales data inside. We could even use it as a doomsday weapon to threaten world powers and hold the world ransom source of valued data to use for predicting trends and forming some forward going expectations.

Heh. Interesting. Pokemon not fresh enough anymore?
Maybe it really is time for a Splatoon anime.

They were also demoing Morpheus Miku at E3.

That wasn't Sega. The owners of Miku work with Sony on some stuff separate to the Project Diva series. They've made a couple of AR Vita games that were given out as PS+ freebies, for example.

I'm pretty sure Anpanman is older than Pokemon.

You can probably go back through the MC archives since you have the release date. Should have shipment data too I suspect.

Good idea. Had a quick check through, though, and it didn't chart in Famitsu top 30 on release, so no sell through %.

I'll have a more detailed look and see if anyone posted it some other time. Just wondering if it has sold through the first shipment yet, I'd have thought it would've received quite a big shipment given how Capcom were positioning it back then.

Japan not only likes Minecraft but it also must like Terraria. I found this interesting while looking throught the MC top 1000.

103. [PSV] Terraria <ADV> (Spike Chunsoft) {2014.02.06} (¥2.980) - 15.070 / 82,415

Even it had some nice legs and if you factor in Famitsu's digital estimate which were 47,490 it did pretty well for itself.

Why do you think we bought the MC book? XD All the data is there :)

[3DS] Gaist Crusher # <ACT> (Capcom) {2013.12.05} (¥4.990) - 8.092 / NEW <7,05%>

More than 114k shipped, still half of the shipment has to be sold.

wait wait wait wait..........

I DID NOT KNOW THIS!

Who in their right minds would accept a FIRST shipment of 114k of an unproven IP? -_-

Retailers should include a free copy with every Nintendo 3DS system sold, that will be the only way to get rid of all unsold stock. It's worth noting that there is a big discrepancy between Famitsu and Media Create since the former has it at 84.000 units shipped.

Edit:

[3DS] Gaist Crusher: God <ACT> (Capcom) {2014.09.04} (¥5.389) - 3.268 / NEW <25,11%> [13.015 units shipped]

Ohhh, did it have an anime to support the game?

Even so, isn't that more than the usual?

Sure, but basically Capcom sold retailers on this being their next big franchise in Japan.

They already had a similar, extremely successful series going in the form of Monster Hunter, and they managed to have one of the best performing new IPs last generation with Dragon's Dogma.

The company they were riffing on also made a long series of very successful products and even for their worse performers, they'd be hard pressed not to sell 100K.

Retailers took a bet on Capcom, not wanting to be left out if the series took off, and it blew up in their face. Every time an event like this happens, they get more cautious across the board, which is why you see so many undershipped titles these days.
