Bump.... So Minecraft is the 3rd highest first week for a 3rd party title for Switch in JP (MHXX, Mario + Rabbids, and now this). Mario Tennis had its highest opening week sales since the GC release. Gundam apparently has a bad worth of mouth and thus its price is crashing really really quickly.

It's crazy to think that Minecraft still sells pretty good after all of these years. NS and PS4 pretty much holding things together as far as software goes.

Yeh it's pretty crazy. Minecraft actually had its best opening week ever in JP with this switch release.

Another great week for Switch, 48k in a week is a solid number and keep the average above 40k per week is also pretty good and also is good to see that even after several complaints about the Mario Tennis Ace's demo, the game did well, let's see if will join the evergreen list of Nintendo titles. And I am also impressed that Gundam Break sold that much. The game had a horrible reception, the demo was not good and 2 or 3 days after the release date the game were already 40% on Amazon JP.

It's good to see, because it's a great version of Minecraft. Can't wait for them to get servers up.

I think that whole situation with Gundam Breaker is funny, but it still went on to sell a decent amount of copies anyway. I wonder how far it will fall next week....

Thanks for these week numbers.

On a tangential note regarding Minecraft, never understood why it took so much time to port the game to the New 3DS. The other curiosity is why there's no physical version of the 3DS released in Japan. It would probably be a fixed member of the top 50 club for most of the year.

It's also cute to see the very slight increase of FIFA sales due to the World Cup and the Switch benefiting the most. A shame Japan is out of the tournament when they basically had that last game won as it would have extended the increase effect for some more weeks.

Did we verified if the Octo expansion for Splatoon had any positive effect on sales?

Minecraft new 3ds released after Switch launch right? Probably wanted to focus on the Switch version.
