If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
When you can crack the Software Top 10 with less than 4k units sold....ouch.

Solid ARMS performance though. Hope it will benefit from the Splatoon 2 launch as well.

It amazes me that Minecraft is doing to Vita as Splatoon was doing to Wii U. i.e. selling an obscene amount of software as a percentage of hardware. Still ticking up too.

Good result for Radiant Historia? Can't tell.

Seems like a nice hold for Alliance Alive too.

or why that sudden increase in the last 2 weeks? no noteable new releases afaik

Switch shortages continue. There's no real reason to expect any change until splatoon and who knows whether that will be a lasting one. Interesting to see both Mario kart and Zelda get a bump this week. It looks like both titles will have long legs.

The PS4 continues to sell really strongly. It's looking to have a good year and may end up having its biggest year this year.

Maybe ramp up to DQXI? That is going to be a big event, so perhaps some people are purchasing in advance already.

Awesome legs for Zelda.

Nintendo has to be stocking a lot for the Splatoon 2 bundles. They were consistent around the 40K level for a while and now it seems like 25K is the baseline. Demand in August should be insane due to Splatoon and Monster Hunter, I hope they'll be ready to take advantage.

Very happy to see the PS4 doing well. Maybe home consoles are not quite dead yet in Japan.

It is, the original version sold poorly (32000~).
I'm a little salty as I don't support this new version with terrible artworks.
I would have prefered the DS version to sell 50k and this one far less instead of this.

But whatever...

How likely would a hybrid system like Switch, the best of both worlds for Japan, to sell on par in its ltd with 3ds at the very least?

Also, are these sub 10k visual novel breaking even?

I said it in the other thread but I'll post here as well. I think 25k is what they'll get until September. Even is they double the shipment for Splatoon 2, I think the next few weeks will be smaller shipments to balance it out. So like 50k for Splatoon, then 20k the next five weeks. Really sucks for Nintendo, but at least they will hit their numbers the predicted..

EDIT: OR I could have it backwards (duh(, 25k is them holding back and Splatoon's really forward they up the shipments, since they'll have XX coming in August, followed but the fall barrage of games.

Something just dawned on me. Nintendo plans to have 10 million systems by year's end. Worldwide. If the percentages stay as they have been, the would be

US: 3 mil
JPN: 2.5 mil
RoW: 4.5 mil

That really doesn't seem like a lot at all, seeing how Japan and the US are pretty much half way there in 1/3 the time. Maybe if they can't get more out there, then maybe re allocate the remaining 5 million consoles left for the year to the markets with the most demand for it.
Guess we'll find out in the coming months how they handle this.

Looking at the last few weeks, it looks like part of the reason PS4 Hardware sales are increasing is that more and more people are buying the PS4 Pro.

GTA V in the top 10? Although with those anemic numbers, even Wii sports could show up in the charts at some point.

I doubt it'll sell on par with the 3ds ltd tbh.
Different price, likely shorter life, different era.
I can see it selling between 10 and 15M LTD for now though.

I guess this makes sense. Anticipation could be one reason although it started going up little by little since MHW announcement. I was expecting that it would be up this week too but not a 4k bump.

Also, nice ARMs and The Alliance Alive numbers.

If they fix the stock issue it's certainly possible but if it lasts for too long.... Nope.

Nice to see Arms do well btw.

At this rate Nintendo will burn through the 10 or 12 million allocated for this fiscal. Shame they can't get more faster.

Can't wait for Mario X Rabbids!

What do you mean with enough? There is no way in hell that they can satisfy demand for the Switch during that week: the system is still selling out in 15 minutes whenever it becomes available. Do you have a vision for what number is enough?
