Because we are looking at ARMS total relative to Switch total. The addition the Switch stock gives to the total is relatively much smaller than the addition ARMS sales for this week give to ARMS total sales, and as a result the ratio total ARMS over total Switch rises.

Omega Labyrinth Z is the only other new release - nothing really interesting.
Switch hardware supply is just as crap as the last couple of weeks.

Next week will be interesting with a couple of new releases. I wonder how much Ever Oasis (3DS; Nintendo) and Hakoniwa Company Works (PS4; NIS) will sell. I haven't heard many people talk about both games, even though they look good and fun to me personally. I'm afraid they'll fail to meet expectations.

And of course the two weeks after that will be huge. Hype!

...Uh, you're actually correct. On July 26th, Nintendo will have its own Q1 FY2018 financial release, and that's when we'll get a look at worldwide and regional shipments for 3DS and Switch. By using Media Create (Nintendo uses it as well when referring to hardware sales in presentations for investors), we should have a decent grasp at Splatoon 2's shipment a few hours before MC numbers hit.

Actually, we could get an early Famitsu report on Splatoon 2 and Switch's sales update as well.

Easily is putting it mildly. Japan will go closer to 750k imo, and adding in worldwide, these numbers will 2-3 times as large.

I mean, compare the comgnet ranking for example: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was at 265 points when it launched, Splatoon 2 is currently at 836 points and still has more than a week until it launches (and for the past few days it's been growing with more than 10 points per day). You can't extrapolate the sales one on one of course, but Splatoon 2 is pulling in numbers on a different level than MK8D is, and you will see the difference clearly in first week sales.

I think 300k is very well doable. It's currently falling quite softly, and it will benefit from increased shipments for Splatoon 2 and later on in the year, as it, like all big sellers on Switch, is limited by the userbase size.

That seems like a very poor result for Gundam Versus. Especially for what is effectively the next mainline entry.

Also not great from Omega Labyrinth really. IP shrunk rather than grew with the addition of another platform.

Gundam Versus disappoints.
Omega Labyrinth Z is the only other new release - nothing really interesting.
Switch hardware supply is just as crap as the last couple of weeks.

Next week will be interesting with a couple of new releases. I wonder how much Ever Oasis (3DS; Nintendo) and Hakoniwa Company Works (PS4; NIS) will sell. I haven't heard many people talk about both games, even though they look good and fun to me personally. I'm afraid they'll fail to meet expectations.

And of course the two weeks after that will be huge. Hype!

Ever Oasis will probably be Rabbids.

How can ARMS attach rate go up when its down and the Switch hardware is up?

That caused it's weekly share to drop but despite that it's weekly share is still higher than last week's total share so the total share goes up. In numerical form:

Last week share - 74%
This week share - 48%

Last week total share - 14.3%
This week total share - 15.1%

The total share will continue increasing until the next weekly share drops below it. ARMS would have had to have sold less than 3,700 or so for that to have happened this week.

Only 3 Switch games in the top 20 and they're all just Nintendo published titles. Can we even begin to argue about the "nintendo audience" not buying third party games when Nintendo is handicapping software sales themselves with the meager amount of hardware making it to market?

The Switch demand hasnt been touching third parties lately even though the consensus seems to be that third parties are trying harder with their Nintendo versions of titles. Even ARMS is feeling the effects of low supply with its numbers dropping so much each week. It really seems like third party efforts are being completely wasted thanks to the current hardware situation. And that certainly isn't encouraging hesitant publishers to jump in sooner than later.

My guess is 600k for Splatoon 2. I expect between 50% and 60% of all Switch owners (including new ones) will get the game first week. With est. 100k-120k new consoles, that's around 600k.
